R.R
A fisting mini game would be rather pointless. Just like real fishing? ZING etc etc...

Gunde
I'd much rather have fishing than yoga. I still don't understand that feature. Who the hell thought that would be awesome in a GTA game?!?! Or any game...

d3ex2
I don't mind. Fishing in games has never been something that interested me. IRL I have a phobia of fish so...I don't think I'll be going anywhere near the water never mind trying to catch fish. I swear I'll freak out if I go in the water and a shark attacks me. I sh*t myself when watching YouTube videos of FarCry 3. I'm just really jumpy.

willstaruss123
Fishing is nothing compared to hunting. Hunting makes you strategize and run if a bear comes at you. Fishing requires you to just sit there and reel the fish in=lame. Honestly, fishing does take a lot of strategy. I hunt and fish. To be GOOD at it, it definitely takes strategy I mean in a video game. In real life yes there is strategy.
The_Real_Deal
Anyone who says fishing is boring and would suck in the game, needs to remember that GTA is about free roaming and doing what you want to do ultimately. If fishing bores you, then don't do it. But obviously it would be a fun pass time for someone. I don't fish, but I agree with those who hope it's in the game. Especially when there is obviously sealife, and so much opportunity for water activity.

ash82
Fishing would've appealed to me if done right. I remember playing some of those old fishing simulator games and hoped that GTA would have something similar. I'm also a bit gutted that pool hasn't been confirmed. I was hoping that they would have improved on GTA IV.

Exactly, I love real life fishing, GTA fishing would be perhaps a little boring though, it's not the same when you're not competing with your mate next to you while talking about life. MintBerryCrunch
I don't remember this being 100% confirmed. There's a still a possibility it could be in the game. And to tell you the truth I'd rather have fishing than yoga and meditation.

AtomicPunk
Yeah but we get fu*king yoga and showers. No fisting? F U R*! Fisting? Dude :') Fisting is fun if you know what'cher doin'. It smells really fishy though so I wear fingerless, latex gloves. OT: After hearing from one of the previews that they saw some campers fishing, I have to admit, I was kinda excited about that, but only if R* can make it fun and addicting. Maybe like Zelda. I think it would add to the game. I wade the rivers high in the mountains where I live and fish as much as I can, so if it's in GTA V I won't have to waste all that energy anymore. Hungry_Homer111
As others have said, source? But let's say for a second that this is true, they aren't having fishing in the game. Fishing was on my more immediate wishlist for the game, given the setting, and the attention they're giving the the ocean area. That being said, I wouldn't complain if it wasn't there for two main reasons. First of all, there seems to be plenty of other great things to do in this game, so I should be too busy to really miss the feature. Of course, if I had my choice, I would gladly take fishing over yoga, but that's beside the point. The second reason I wouldn't complain about it is because of GTA: Online. They've said that they're planning on expanding GTAO after its release. This could, and probably will based on some interviews, include expanding the tools for user-created content, adding more missions, and making the world bigger (not only could they add Las Venturas and San Fierro, they could add Liberty City, Vice City, other new areas, and even areas in other countries if they wanted to have them in there). But there is also a good chance that they'll be adding more activities into the game, which could include fishing, and pretty much anything else I have on my wishlist (not just for GTA5, but GTA in general). Also, adding them later would allow them the time to fully flesh those activities out, so it feels worth having, that trying to rush everything into GTA5 and doing a half-ass job on them.
