Although I think it won't do much at all, I just want this petition to reach it's goal of half a million just so Rockstar can see how many people want a PC version of this game. Eric Wiles HAGERSTOWN, MD 9 months ago · Like 175 U I still remember the first time I ever played Grand Theft Auto. It was GTAIII back on the PS2. I was hooked. The laughs. The twists. The characters. The FREEDOM! I've played through all of the major releases since and have spent 100s of hours in GTA IV's multiplayer. The problem then arises that I am a college student, and having recently sold my Xbox 360, I would no longer be able to play GTAV. This broke my heart. It made me feel abandoned, ashamed to be a PC gamer, like we're some less important group of customers. But the fact of the matter is that we care MORE about our games than the others. We care more, and that is why we put up with extremely bugged releases after a 2-6 month delay, and lack of graphics features on day one; because we care. Because we're so dedicated to our games that we except them for their flaws with the knowledge that one day that game will be the shining, smooth running, graphically superior, star it was intended to be. We love you guys and girls at Rockstar. You folks make some of the most hilarious, fun, and yet deep, games around. Please don't take that chance way from us. The chance for us to blow up a hooker who we picked up in an icecream truck and then bailed from as we drove off a cliff. The chance to enjoy a great game like GTA. I don't mind either way but when theres several topics and people moaning about it everyday. Jesus christ just kills some of the excitement. Like I said in my original post, the petition is most likely useless and serves no true purpose. But It shows how big of a fanbase Rockstar has on the PC platform. That's why I signed it, so they know that at least 500,000 people play GTA on PC. I posted it here so I can see what other people thought about it. I wanted to know your opinions and even maybe sign the petition if you're a fan. That's all. I can't stop all the hate some of these console kids will bring. I somewhat expected that, but I thought there would be more honest non-raging replies than the hateful raging anti-PC ones. And as for the whole PC gamers screwing up the console multiplayer...I don't see how? I play IV multiplayer all the time, and the worst case scenario with modding and hacking is vehicle spawning. That's it. That's the worse it gets on PC 99% of the time. Sure in a deathmatch one guy would come in using god mode, but all it takes is one kick and he can't join back in. S1LV3R_W0LF Posted August 22, 2013 Share Posted August 22, 2013 This petition is just pointless, first because it wasn't needed, second because even if it gets 1 million signatures that wouldn't change Rockstar idea IF they didn't plan to release the game on PC. The Devision is now heading to the PC because the developers saw 140k signatures petition asking for the game... yeah right and I'm Batman. These are companies, enterprises that make big studies about the market and its potential they aren't waiting consumers to beg for something, the fact a million people sign something that doesn't need any payment or proper identification it's not a fact that proves all of them are willing to pay for it. The game is planned for PC since day one, specially since they thought about this new online game mode, this has PC and Next Gen written all over it. And honestly as I stated before it is the best stunt to make player actually buy the game instead of pirating it. Steam have over 50 million players right now, I'm confident that more then 50% have this game in their aim, the same will happen for retail copies that will be the only way to actually play the online. While in consoles you can use a pirated copy and play online with full support, that doesn't happen on PC... unless Rockstar pulls and EA and creates separated registration codes to allow console players to play the game online, otherwise any player will be able to do so, with paid or pirated game. -------- As for the retarded comments of the uneducated individuals about PC's, Modding and Online Modes I won't even bother, do some research on your own before coming to the Internet making speeches that make you look stupid. What i am saying is important, im inserting authority for the consoles, but whatever, enjoy having your online experience ruined by hackers, by all means let the pc flood gates open. If I was a PC gamer I wouldn't be worried at all, although the wait would be a pain. I have a PS3 and I had to sit and wait patiently for tbogt to be released on PS3... It is their decision whether or not the game will release for the PC platform, which it will eventually like every other GTA that wasn't some kind of exclusive.
