BMW Sterling
Honestly, people don't consider me a gamer because I had an Xbox 360 for like 6 years and I only had 7000 Gamer score. I only had like 5 games every year and got a new game RARELY. Only games I played was GTA, other Rockstar games, NBA 2k and a couple of other FPS. Sometimes I wonder why I didn't have Gamefly because I rarely play my other games. I just got the ps3 and I only plan on playing GTA 5 on it after the 17th and when I get PS4, I have a feeling I might only buy like 5 games for it in the next year or so excluding borrowing other games. Am I considered a true gamer?

BMW Sterling
Only brought this topic up because my friend and I were arguing about it. He kept saying that I'm not a "true gamer" and "no gamer only has 7000 gamerscore after having an Xbox for so long".

He kept saying that I'm not a "true gamer" and "no gamer only has 7000 gamerscore after having an Xbox for so long". I think your friend was just talking trash. Some guys can get pretty competitive when it comes to games. Frankly, I've never understood it. Yes, it is a good feeling to complete a game 100% or learn how to accomplish things in the game that are especially challenging. But you should by no means be expected to play a game a certain way, or rack up a certain number of points. In fact, I'd consider anyone who truly plays games for the sheer fun of it more understanding of what their purpose is and therefore, potentially, more of a gamer than someone who's looking to compare/compete. Besides that, points are not necessarily a testament of your skill or frequency of gameplay. On most games, you can struggle to accomplish a specific task to get the points and never mess with that task again. But there may be someone with a lot fewer points who found the task easy and accomplish it all the time. Alas, the points only show that you've done something once (or even that someone else did it for you). They certainly don't prove you can do it again, and again, and again. da_KING
LOL, my ex-friend (ex, because we are not in same school anymore) once said to me: Maybe you play games, but you aren't a gamer because you wear Tank-Top under your T-Shirt. Seriously, WTF?
