Nemesis2252
wierd that this isnt on gamestops homepage, but on powerup rewards' sub-page. so as a basic member with next to no reward points and someone who doesnt want to send in a mail entry, the only way to enter is to buy or trade in items in-store or on gamestops website - if im understanding the rules page correctly? leading back to my question earlier on this page... does purchasing GTA V from gamestop (in september i should add) automatically enter you, or do you need to do a follow-up step? StickyWickett
Anyone who can afford it, are going to buy something WAY nicer than a 7 year old used car with a body-kit... DwnShft2Xcelr8
I'd love to win this car. I'd probably end up selling it for that $180k+ it will likely be worth, but it'd be nice to have in my garage for a few months.
Hammerchuk
Anyone who can afford it, are going to buy something WAY nicer than a 7 year old used car with a body-kit... If that is your own thought-train, you are the worst kind of person. Why is he a bad person? "I'm too rich to buy used cars! I must only buy straight from the factory because only new cars are good!" First of all, you took that quote out of context. I didn't say anything about only new cars being good, I also discussed how you could buy this car for 1/3 of their ARV and have 120k left over. Second of all, people buy new cars to have warranty and peace of mind and to avoid buying someone else's problems or a car with unknown history. Without these people, YOU wouldn't be able to buy a car used, so I don't see why you're bashing them. As for an attack on me regarding being too rich to buy a used car and only new ones being any good... If that were the case, I probably wouldn't have bought a 2003 Viper a year and a half ago. Chase177
Well since it's a Gamestop Reward Points Sweepstake, there went my chance of entering this contest. Seriously f*ck Gamestop, I had 1900 points and could of got 7 entries, but due to the fact that points expire those points are worthless now. Oh and to make it worse I had spent $100+ in games for those points.

Burner
Don't let that thing sit outside during summertime for any length of time. When you get in to start it, those metal logos on the seat will brand you And Ha! It's a stick. Funny that the contest is only for Americans, since around 90% of us can't drive a stick. If some 17 year old wins this, we won't have to worry about them killing themselves in it, they will fry the clutch before they get out of the driveway. If they expired, how the heck would people get upwards of 80k points? you'd have to be a daily customer there. Here is a quote from their faqs "Do my points ever expire? Yes, they can. If there is no account activity posted to your account for one year (12 consecutive months), the account is subject to closure and termination, includin forfeiture of all accrued points. "Activity" is defined as making a purchase or a trade at GameStop or GameStop.com or making a purchase of Kongregate Kreds on Kongregate.com." Gamestop is more than reasonable about their points, your fault for losing them. Edited September 3, 2013 by KennethMBB

Just because Americans drive mostly automatics, does not mean no one here can't drive a manual. Any car enthusiast or immigrant will know manual. And teens know how to drive it. Not all but a lot because many of them are car enthusiasts. Just because you don't live in America or don't like current day teens, does not mean you can make stupid assumptions. TreTheTruth
They can't give it away to people in other countries. This is a contest/sweepstakes, so they can get in trouble with other countries, for not knowing their rules on giving away things. Or, if somebody too young to be in the contest (young kid + fake age) wins, they can get sued. That's why it's USA Only.

Not all but a lot because many of them are car enthusiasts. Just because you don't live in America or don't like current day teens, does not mean you can make stupid assumptions. I do live in America. That is why my assumption isn't stupid. Nearly everyone under 30 cannot drive a stick. There are young car enthusiasts that can, but the enthusiast is a very small minority amongst most car drivers. Most new cars from the last decade or two have been automatics, so when a new teenager wants to learn how to drive, guess what they are going to learn with.. Even sports cars that in the past would be sticks, many manufacturers are switching to that twin clutch flappy paddle transmission. To find a stickshift car for sale, you have to specifically seek one out. Want the best deal on a new car? Go to a dealer and tell him you want a stick, they will be so damn happy and will do almost anything to get you to leave in it(if they even have one). My comment isn't an assumption at all really, it is based on personal experience of myself being the only car enthusiast in my whole family and amongst my friends, as well as having worked for a major auto manufacturer for some time. I've only seen two stick shift cars produced during my time there, and the test drivers that do the pretests and load them on the truck/train couldnt drive them either, so brand new stick shift cars would be loaded with smoking/stinking clutches before even making it to the dealers. Dead serious about that
