Prefered Online Mode

We've been told that we can explore the online world with friends, or by ourselves. I believe this means we will have the same options we had in RDR, where as we can explore the open world, or we can explore a private version of one. I myself preferred to play with just friends for the most part, as it was easier to accomplish things, while still going into open free roam every now and then to mix it up.

 

What are your preferences, and why? Or why not?

Id rather them be separate to be honest.

 

I want to be in free roam world where anything goes. if i get shot and mugged with 6000 dollars on me. its my own fault for carrying that much without precaution.

I prefer peaceful... but most likely it will be hostile.

I think a world this big won't have many problems with griefing with only 16 players. Most players are going to be doing the 700 missions and not spend much time griefing. GTA IV had so many griefers because free mode had NOTHING to do.

 

Also, players would spawn right next to each other. I would hope to god that Rockstar does not spawn players right next to each other this time. Spawn players at least a few football fields away from each other.

Friendly, undoubtedly. My buddies and I have no interest in the shooting aspects of this game; we're in it for the driving. Of course we will do the missions and stuff to get money and have a few laughs, but only in the cars does it get serious. The last thing I want when cruising, racing or chasing is to be blown up by some fool with a rocket launcher.

You never played RDR online, did you? Every main part of the map was littered with people who had nothing to do but shoot your nose off just as you attempted to accomplish something. I'm all for hanging out in open mode, but most of what I'll be doing to level, I'll be doing in private.
