Man0nf1r3
Unsure if this has been mentioned before so appologies if it has… was just wondering if anything has been mentioned about Carrying weapons, im a fan of games like Hitman and in that game you are unable to walk around holding weapons otherwise people get alarmed may call the police… always found it a lil weird in IV that I could walk down the street past a police car holding a molitov that’s on fire but they don’t mind unless I was to throw it…lol or the its ok to walk round carrying a rocket launcher as long as I don’t point it at the police lol Anyone heard anything on this…? Man0nf1r3
Lol I can understand people not wanting full realism like petrol that may become annoying but walking into a store holding an Tommy Gun with no1 feeling threatened would be a lil too unrealistic…lol also would possibly add to the drama of a heist walking into a store… then using the element of surprise and pulling out a gun… just my thoughts… granted everyone may not agree…
FR_Player-One
lol ya, realism. I kinda had the same wonder about GTA IV. But I know this would bother me to keep my weapon away all time, in IV. But I'm more positive for this with GTA V. The new weapon wheel makes all the difference, it's (it seems) much more quicker to switch weapons. So much more easy to not carry a weapon in your hands when being passive "in public". Then hang out our weapon real quick if needed.
nickmajfc
Honestly, i still cant figure out why people hate realism, it's so frustrating. Whats the issue? can people seriously be that lazy and not go re-fuel, its so much more authentic! plus, they can add an on/off option, whats the hassle. Shame it's not in the game. With this idea from the OP, 100% should be fixed!
IDredMan
It's not hating realism. It's hating retarded unneeded gimmicks. It's people that want sh*t just for the sake of realism that are frustrating.
D4 Damager
I'm pretty sure it depends for me... I for one wouldn't want the inconvenience of having to switch to fist/knife when walking into a clothes shop in order to avoid provoking a wanted level. That would just be a mammoth pain in the arse. Having said that, if the game's mechanics are good enough to portray more alarmed dialogue on the part of pedestrians and NPCs, and the edginess that would also be apparent in that situation, without appearing overly 'clunky' and 'awkward' then that would be a great thing. KrewLife
Then you people need to be open to more things instead of wanting the same sh*t every time a new GTA comes out. Same thing with COD..
FR_Player-One
It's not always about pure "realism". It's about things that makes sense. And things that they couldn't include in previous GTAs because of the coding being too complex, or some other reason. It's people that want sh*t just for the sake of realism that are frustrating. Whats wrong with the gimmicks? whats wrong with needing fuel, its what we REALLY do in this world. Whats wrong with having a job, its not hard, walk into the marker, skips the shift, money. PLUS, you dont have to get the job.. and with fuel, they can have an on/off option. There is so much stuff i could think about. 1. If they had stadiums, have the ability to play for your local team and / or watch. 2. Fuel 3. Signals 4. Real Life-Like jobs 5. Road Rules (i, for a guy who is up for realism, am actually a little unsure if id want this or not).. could be an on/off option easily here.. Meh, I don't know. In GTA 4, when you walked out of a car with a gun selected, it was holstered. So maybe, if in GTAV it auto-holstered after a while, this mechanic would work. If there was an on/off option for all these things, I think people would take it all into consideration and knowing that they don't have to do these daily things. I also like some realism in the game but not too far deep into it. I would love the car blinkers in the game. In GTA IV, the NPC's had blinkers on their car and I was so jelly. Man0nf1r3
It's not always about pure "realism". It's about things that makes sense. This… I can live without certain aspects of realism… its not rele that angle exactly im coming at… its more of something that would just make sense… im hoping this would be fixed from a heist point of view anyway… Lets say me and a group are planning a bank robbery… I may go into the bank as a customer just to get into position and only pull out my weapon once we get the robbery started… this wouldn’t seem as edgey' if I had walked into the bank holiding my gun from the get go…

Real jobs not being in the game is a massive disappointment for me, i don't want to have to roleplay being a hitman or security guard. The actual jobs /career path for them should be in GTA Online where you get a salary / paid for completing hits or missions dedicated to whatever job you taken, so lame that you have to roleplay it and pretend to have a job seriously... D4 Damager
Regarding in-game jobs: The businesses angle (role-playing as a taxi driver or a doorman at a strip joint) is acceptable because it adds to the story and it adds something else to the game besides the usual treadmill of storyline missions which can sometimes descend into boring monotony. Walking into an arrow in order to have your shift simulated at some unrelated job is reminiscent of Sims games. It would be superfluous to the storyline at best and at worst would get in the way of actual action.

Jesus f*cking Christ. Whats your problem? If GTA Online to going to expand and run for years to come this will eventually be added into the game anyway, roleplaying gets boring after so long, why are you so against being able to have a job with missions that revolve around it? Surely getting a mission to assassinate someone online is better then "pretending"..

Hazel Mae
Goddamn, you kids are about the most un-fun forum users I've ever seen. Filling up gas isn't fun, jobs aren't fun, and real life traffic rules sure as hell wouldn't be fun. The only people who want this type of realism in a GTA game are the kids who haven't experienced it themselves.

Yeah I get what u mean… I actually meant where you walk into the bank normally… without a disguise and only draw ur weapon out once the heist starts… So for example I enter the building while members of the crew are in position (outside/on the roof/wherever) once I enter I see there is a security guard heavily armed I stand near him in the bank… my crew enter the building at which point I pull out my weapon and take the guard out with him not having suspected I was part of the robbery… I think it would make heists more tactical… being able to go into the building and scope it out before hand…

I didn't thought about that. An @D4 Damager, I think he meant just going inside to first see how it is (maybe before heist) and get in the best position for a fast attack. AtomicPunk
I think it would add to the game if ped's got nervous if you pull out a gun, or are carrying a Molotov--any weapon. Cops should come up to you and start asking questions and pester you like some peds do in ACIII, until you put it away. It would just make sense.
