It's not like Sony is making a big fuzz out of GTA5, if you saw the press conference they talked a stunning 20 seconds or so about it, I'm pretty sure if they had shed out a lot of money for it they would talk much more about it. It doesn't really surprise me that Microsoft doesn't give a damn, they seem to have their stupid glasses on for quite some time now. They rather buy companies and create silly things rather than marketing a genius game. So unless we have any facts that Sony indeed paid Microsoft, I'd be very careful with such statements. meson1 Posted August 22, 2013 Share Posted August 22, 2013 There is no evidence Sony have paid for anything. They haven't got exclusivity, because it's coming out on PS3 and XB360. If they'd paid Take2 or Rockstar to only show off their version, then all the screenshots and trailers etc would have displayed the PS3 logo far more prominently with the material in question. Instead Rockstar didn't even volunteer the information about the platform used for the promotional material, they had to be asked. If Sony were paying Rockstar good money, they'd expect a lot more exposure than that. Conclusion: Sony can't have paid anything. Sony or Microsoft's opportunity might come if and when GTA:V/Online comes to next gen. Now THAT might be worth having some kind of exclusivity for; to help gain an edge in next gen console take up. But we'll only find this out once the initial current gen sales are out of the way and Rockstar announce GTA:V for other platforms. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
