[i'll report such posts.] What i'm curious about is why Sony have sooo much advertising and events and hardly any, or none, from Microsoft. I mean i can't see anything from MS side of things. Not even on Twitter. Or facebook. Fair enough Sony probably paid Take 2 a lot for rights to some things but surely MS should have something to get the sales in. Is V superior on PS3, and MS know that, so therefore not bothering about V. Or is it the other way, V superior on Xbox that's why Sony need to get most sales in now before release? TwistedMedia Posted August 22, 2013 Share Posted August 22, 2013 I'm not sure exactly how it works, but I think that one company usually places an 'investment' into the advertising of the game, in return being able to advertise for that console exclusively. For example, a Rockstar advert would make it clear that the game is available on both consoles, however Sony are allowed to release their own advert which would simply state 'Available on PlayStation 3' They did the same thing with IV but on Xbox... there was no major Sony marketing for IV at all (I may be mistaken) EDIT - and as Lil B said, Sony pay for exclusivity Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It's not like Sony is making a big fuzz out of GTA5, if you saw the press conference they talked a stunning 20 seconds or so about it, I'm pretty sure if they had shed out a lot of money for it they would talk much more about it. It doesn't really surprise me that Microsoft doesn't give a damn, they seem to have their stupid glasses on for quite some time now. They rather buy companies and create silly things rather than marketing a genius game. So unless we have any facts that Sony indeed paid Microsoft, I'd be very careful with such statements. It's exactly what Microsoft did with IV. They got to announce it at their conference and they got first access to DLC. Microsoft have had their shot with IV. Sony gets V. No. Rockstar has said that both versions (XB/PS3) are the same and have been developed simultaneously. Neither are "superior". I thought everyone knew that already. I guess I was wrong. Under the games tab before you select, my game or browse games there is a small box saying pre order GTA V now.. I love and respect the current generation of consoles, I happened to get the 360 simply because of subjective reasons. Small things; it was cheaper, I like the interface and I love the controller. But Microsoft are greedy, corporate whores and I can almost objectively claim that the original product idea of the Xbox One was to secure us gamers in our living rooms, pulling our pants down and f*cking us up our asses. I'm buying V for my 360. That and any eventual DLC for it will be the last penny I ever indirectly give to the retarded, halfwit piece of utter sh*t that is Microsoft.
