Traffic Jams

I always thought that this game would be cool if we can see some occasional traffic jams. I mean it is based in LA which is KNOWN for traffic jams. I could imagine during a vital time, you're running from the cops and you come into traffic, for forcing you to take desperate measures of going around and going off the freeway or getting out the car, running to the next exit and stealing another car closer to that exit and pulling off OR you can do it your way. Doesn't matter

In GTA IV I found many when I tried to escape from the cops...So I am sure we can find them in GTA V too

Definitely! That's why I can't wait for next gen either because the hardware will allow more cars on the streets!

Yes I would like to see traffic adjust to the time of day or the day of the week. Monday at 6PM freeway jam packed with cars while Sunday 6AM not much cars out.

Gta Iv had quite good physics for traffic jams it happened like this (the science behind those unexplained jams)

I have plenty of other ideas that would be so nice:

- Diarrhea

- Cell phone battery capacity

- Broken suspension after driving over a sidewalk

- Permadeath. Your character won't respawn when he dies. You have to re-purchase GTA V again

- Smashing car windows to steal a car is only accepted if Kinect registers you smashing a window of your own room at home

- When paying something cash, you actually have to control a certain animation, picking coins and bills out of your wallet. If you let it slip through your hands there will always be someone who steals it from you

- After staying out too long in the sun you get sunburnt and die from skin cancer (because in game time flies faster than real time)

- You need to register with your real driving license to be able to drive a car in GTA V

 

JK, more cars would be nice indeed. But it should be reasonable. Being unable to drive through certain parts of the map at a busy day time without having a jam would get annoying very fast, I suppose.

Console limitations probably prevent this from happening. If you get Environment Mod 5, Traffic flow mod and then turn up the Traffic Density to 100% on PC GTA IV you get some pretty large cues of traffic but the framerate drops hugely as a result!

 

I reckon the potential next gen and PC versions of GTA V will have more peds and traffic in general. I'm pretty sure some of the official screenshots have more traffic and pedestrians than in the gameplay video(s).

Also, imagine your under 21 (US of course), and you showed your in-game ID which is connected to your real one and you cant get in to a nightclub

I that movie they hacked the computer controlling the traffic lights to create gridlock and thus making the escape in the minis possible as the polic couldn't get through....

 

Imagine doing something like that is Los Santos...
