who has stopped caring about single player

I haven't stopped caring completely though I don't care about the hype around the game. I'll do a walkthrough of the story but ultimately I'll be all over GTAO once I beat the story.

GTA has always been a single player game for me because Online is simply.. sh*t. GTA 5 might actually change that and may make me more interested but it won't put me off SP.

Not me. I'm actually more interested in singleplayer.

This. While I look forward to the online single player always comes first.

Excuse my ignorance, but will the addition of multiplayer take away singleplayer? in other words did Rockstar perhaps shift their attention to online mode instead f adding possible more features and whatnot to singleplayer? I don't know how this all works but I do know Rockstar hasn't let me down before but I am just wondering. Are we getting DLC's for singleplayer or are they just for online?

I usually check out the multiplayer action after I have finished a game but I've never really enjoyed it compared to single player but I am SERIOUSLY excited to get stuck into online gameplay with this one for sure!

I'm still way more excited to play SP than MP, but I've always been this way

No, single player still for me. Don´t know if I even will touch multiplayer since xbox live isn´t free and if I buy gold membership it goes to waste since I only play a few times.

I can't believe how many people are saying they aren't that excited about GTA online....

To me single player looked awesome the whole time, (and still does) but when R* dropped that bomb of an online trailer revealing that almost all of the great things we can do in single player can also be done with (or against) friends online, it changed my whole perspective on the game.

Sure there are probably some really cool heists that you can do in single player that won't be online and switching between 3 characters freely is very interesting, but the fact that I get to mold my own protagonist from head to foot however I see fit with what I believe will be quite a deep character creator and basically live out his life in both insanely minute and overwhelming detail, complete with a bevy of online exclusive modes like the promising deathmatch/race editor, just pushed the single player out of my mind for good.

That being said I'm VERY glad that online doesn't unlock until October so I get a chance to experience and hopefully complete what could be the most intriguing single player in GTA history.

Took the words right out of my mouth. icon14.gif

Single Player for me. While multiplayer looks insane, the only reason I watched the gameplay trailer was to see the game in action more. When I saw all of what was happening I got even more hyped about single player, as strange as it sounds.

Finally out of everybody you are the only one who understands what I meant when I started this.

I have no doubt that the single player is going to be amazing because Rockstar have never got anything wrong in any of their games that they have released.

The truth is on why people took a dislike to GTA IV is because of the fact Rockstar set the bar high themselves with GTA SA and the only problem I had with GTA IV is that it for me it didn't have the replay factor maybe that's why at the moment i'm looking forward to GTAO because i'm not setting the bar too high for the SP so that I will go into the SP with an open mind.

And as for it coming out 2 weeks later that is the best thing they could have done to let people get used to the game.

I've been thinking, and grown a little pessimistic about the online xperience - sixteen players just sounds like too few to make it all that fun. I mean, on a map of this immense size - c'mon! We'll be spread all over. And under water. We won't see each other much, unless in the chat, and unless you ride with a posse... which leaves even fewer "others" to meet around the map, if someone is bunched up in a convoy. Large parts of the map will then just be NPC's.

Don't get me wrong, I'll probably be playing it too - but finishing single player story is definitely my main reason for getting the game. Time will see if I change my mind after actually trying it online, it might turn out to be very cool due to other factors than the mere count of players. (It looks somewhat promising so far).

However in a year or so, memorystrong PC's, PS4's and shyteboxOne's should hopefully be able to sport lots more... the Battlefield-franchise had 64 players already since BF2. Planetside 2 has twice that amount today. With those numbers we would get really, really cool online play in GTA too.

Just my 2 cents on the subject.

a bit off-topic; from how far away will our game nicks be visible to other players? I'm actually hoping it won't be visible until quite close, like a city block or so... Cause if you can see where others are halfway cross the map, it will just add to the feeling of a dead (or "robot"/NPC'ish) area, if you are the only one right there... with so few players, it's more fun to suddenly spot someone that leaves you thinking "is that really an NPC?"

I am highly interested in both, but the Single Player mode tops out for me. I really cannot wait to see this story unfold and enjoy every aspect of it, including Free Roam (derp). Both modes will be amazing. GTA Online looks f*cking incredible, and as I said before, I've never looked forward to playing a game online like I look forward to GTA Online. However, I will spend a lot more time in SP.

I can tell you I ONLY care about single player. Watching this forum and the level of stupidity and childishness that so many posters around here have. NO WAY do I want anything to do with the online community.

I will always care about SP WAY more then MP, for the simple fact that I hate playing with

dumbass kids that wanna f*ck with you and the only reason they want to is to feel big and tough

through a console, because they know that in real life they will get f*cked up every single day

of there lives....also the real bold racist that have mics and say dumb sh*t.

It makes them feel like they have power, so yeah I like my single player. Don't have to deal with

idiot fake tough guys.
