ok i just have a question about this, sorry if this was posted before i never seen it if it was, and although this is the last thing thats important, i just was curious, watching the videos, i never really noticed any pedistrians, i mean i saw a few, but counting them, i thought they were just other players or whatever, but, my question is this, where are all the citys civlians at in these videos, is it gonna be just us alone, with 15 other people, or are we gona be in a livly city? just confused.

On the GTA Online gameplay video you can see AI's (as example by 0:12, 0:28, etc.)

 

So I can say to you, there will be AI's online too, don't worry

At 2:01 there are many pedestrians chillin' around and by 2:46 a few runs away.

Hopefully there is an equal number of peds as the single player game. GTAIV has such amazing detail in the city and a lot of peds with complex behaviors. GTAIV multiplayer lacked that. I think that it is incredibly taxing on the current hardware to perform this amount of complexity online. I just hope that as GTAO continues to grow in size, overtime the complexity and diversity present in single player is able to be brought over to GTAO cities. Otherwise, the future of GTA would be a step back from the unbelievable accomplishments in GTAIV single player and soon to be GTAV single player if GTAO lacked detail, complexity, and vast variety in peds.
