Thanks for your reply! But it's not just only the vegetation.

 

It's happening with alot of objects too. Not all objects though. Some works normal.

 

But I have set the setting to preload IPL's too, does not help either.

If it's only when you are flying you could try the binthesky cleo made by dk22pac, it'll load everything in high detail when you are flying (uses much RAM though). It's also a setting provided in mixsets (I suggest you use mixsets since it has a lot of usefull features/fixes).

@Project makers in next release can you add option from which we can adjust the lamppost and trafficlight corona size and also make a option from which the corona's color change to the color which is used by lod corona.I want this because it is hard to change color and size of corona by timecyc.dat so I request you please add this options in the next release.

 

Anyway, what do you guys think of this light pollution-like effect? I doubt it'll be part of this mod, but I might release it as a separate mod which requires P2dfx.

 

EDIT: Ignore the coronas at the buildings, that was inspired by GTA V and done quickly. Still needs to be worked on.

can someone post a list of allowed/maximum values that can be changed in this mod.. like any defined values with respect to the game map..[if possible also with an explanation for each option would be nice]

 

i tried tinkering with the values but i can't notice that much difference..

 

i've tried doubling only these

MinDrawDistanceOnTheGround

LODObjectsDrawDistance

VegetationDrawDistance

 

but the only difference i noticed is the removed fog.. even the nearby buildings form star tower looks still like lods. also another annoying is when flying on countryside the pine trees which visible on my screen are still lod. normal pines appears only when i reach them..

 

so how to tweak the ini to make the map [almost possibly] detailed.. i'm not [possibly won't be] using any no lod/lodless mods.. i'm not using ps2 timecyc/seabed.. i'm using this timecyc mod if that's a catch...

Looks like you need to install SilentPatch

 

@TAG: can you confirm, that newest version of 2dfx is not compatible with Windows XP anymore? I'm asking because nothing changes in my game when I'm trying to switch from 3.2 to 4.0.

Everytime I install the mod, this happens:

That's the Streaming Memory Bug, use the latest SilentPatch to fix it.

I have a bug with colors, and I believe it has to do with 2DFX and/or SkyGFX, both of which I have installed. Around the hours shown, colors go all wonky. Example:

color2.png

 

Is there a solution for this?

I have III Traffic installed, so yes, there's usually lots of peds on screen at one time.

 

Will try the PreloadLODs thing now.

Project2DFX does not work in windows xp. I tried and did not work. It is compiled in the new VS.

Project2DFX does not work in windows xp. I tried and did not work. It is compiled in the new VS.

 

TAG, PLEASE, BRING BACK XP SUPPORT! :whistle:

You really need to upgrade your OS. XP is fifteen years old now. Windows 7 is best for gaming right now.

They are too lazy to just put some settings at compile time. Or just do not want to. Silent for example are not lazy. Or they have a problem when compiling.

Incidentally Open Limit Adjuster v1.5.5 does not work in XP. Open Limit Adjuster v1.5.4 works.
Either upgrade to 7 or compile the source yourself. But it is also necessary to be able.

I have a better idea. Source code is accessible for everyone. So if you are saying they are too lazy, you can do it yourself.

It is necessary to compile it all in an older compiler. For example Visual Studio 2010 or 2012. With this, no one will be engaged.

Apparently ThirteenAG appreciates the technical progress and not regress.

KENKING had the same issue, but DK22Pac helped him to figure out how to compile plugins in VS2015 so they are working with XP too. So this is not a matter of "old" complier and progress.

As long as you have older VS installed, you can compile via latest studio with older toolset. I only have VS2015 and I'm not really interested in xp support, sorry.

You need to pay money ThirteenAG. Maybe then he would change his attitude.

What for? Microsoft pays him for abandoning XP support.

If no jokes, please who can compile and XP? This is nonsense. This mod is among the top three, and can not be used.
