I installed Liveles along with this. I was crashing in the menu without it. However, the mod has no affect in game.

these bits are in the game itself, so patching that helps with that, but not with LIVE verifications

 

 

And I assume other mods work with LIVE because they don't patch anything crucial in memory?

correct - scripthook merely adds to the script list in memory, and does not patch .text/.rdata. sadly xlive.dll is fairly obfuscated and exists in around 2-3 different versions that all seem to be able to connect to the production LIVE environment still

Im liked your mod very much using since 2.0.

 

But ı have a problem about crashing after loading game and 5 sec or less to crash.

 

Still tried to delete old useless plugins,reinstalled gta3.img files, removed StaticShadows from SA,VC,GTA3 sections still same.

 

Bro can you upload full version of 2.5 for manual install ?

Nothing changed really, just not requires script hook anymore.

I'm not following you, latest version is full and for manual install. Something isn't right with your game.

Hey, any fix for the vice cry 1.8? it lags when im looking in front of the beach, the huge island. im pretty sure this mod supports vice cry 1.8 because there's a DAT file named: "2dfx_ViceCry1.8"

You need to rename it to 2dfx.dat

Hello!

 

Thank you for uploading 2DFX 0.4 for IV!

I have been using it for about a week now, and I have discovered a bug that occurs in EFLC, both TLAD and TBOGT. I'm not sure if this happens in IV, as I haven't played the game with 2DFX for a sufficient amount of time.

 

It seems that the extra spawned corona lights on the map cause all regularly spawned coronas to disappear. This includes anything and everything from car lights to streetlamps or building lights.

 

Please see these images as a reference for the bug:

Here is an image, showing what my game looks like when 2DFX is not installed.

 

Note that the coronas for the tail lamps on the car and the coronas for the building lights are present, unlike the other photos:

Other than this bug, thank you for working on 2DFX for III, VC, SA, and IV! It is absolutely breathtaking! :)

Thanks for the report, I'll look into it. Is this happens at certain camera angles or just for some amount of time occasionally?

Does xLive.log contain [GTA] LoadPlugins(plugin loader: loaded '2dfx_iv.asi')?

GTA4 and GTA EFLC, latest project 2dfx for gta4 + enb + icenh + texture mods: coronas appearing nicely without any fps dropping, no lagg at all

 

GTA SA, latest project 2dfx for gtasa + enb: fps dropping to ~10fps in some places making the game basically unplayable :|

 

Is this because of the game engine differences, or there is something really wrong in the gtasa version p2dfx?

Whoah how come I don't know about this. It sounds so much better especially the old save folder locations.

This happens after a certain amount of time passes at night.

 

While playing with the normal game timelapse, it happens usually after two nights pass by.

 

My guess is that the game thinks additional coronas are being added, each time it goes through the night.

I'm installing it to root folder, but it may work from scripts or plugins folder too, need to double check that though. If it's working, then you can see a white corona inside Roman's apartment. Edited by ThirteenAG

ICEnhancer at night on patch 7 and EFLC has corona issues and look like garbage at night (clouds in sky are bright, turns day at night during sunny weather, etc). I even have coronas on the tail lights up close. I installed Cry ENB instead.

 

Bugs I have noticed:

-The light up scrolling signs in Star Junction (Times Square) are missing. Instead, they are floating up in the sky.

-There are some mysterious coronas appearing south of Happiness Island. They appear to be in the shape of a boat. This could be left over code from the beta. There may of been a boat there. It isn't where the yacht was in TBoGT as that is west of Happiness Island.

Oh yeah, someone actually mentioned that the mod doesn't work properly with ENB external texture. I don't know why, because i have no idea how ENB handles that.

Other bugs are noted, I'll try to fix it some time next month.

Here's a bit of a twist, which I'm sure you may notice with CryENB as you use it. The ENB that I am using in my screenshots is CryENB, with edits made to the enbseries.ini file and a couple of other files, not ICEnhancer. I only modified the CryENB files and did not add any additional files to it, so it's essentially CryENB.

 

The corona lights will work for a while with CryENB, but will eventually stop working.

Some other bugs I noticed.

-Coronas that are in the game normally only load during the day, or if you load your save at night. However, the next night, they are gone, and only appear in the day.

-Rain has no collision. No rain droplets, no audio. (This was a bug in scripthookdotnet.asi. Would hate to see it in this as this is supposed to improve the game.)

So, I made a quick test in both IV and EFLC and wasn't able to reproduce the disappearing coronas. I loaded a save during nightime, cycled through a few days via trainer, everything is good. Drove around the city for a few minutes, no disappearance of coronas. Don't have any problems with rain too.

Try doing it by letting the game naturally go through the course of time instead of a trainer.

 

For me coronas only work during days, and during a night where I loaded a save. That is the coronas that are there normally. The distant coronas the mod adds are fine.

 

Did what you did. Using the trainer still has working coronas. However, letting time run its course naturally causes the bug. I also noticed the lack of rain splashes, but that could be an issue with Cry ENB or ICEnhancer.

Sounds good. I'm looking forward to this when it is complete.

 

But out of curiosity, are there any plans to add any of the following features in addition.

-Increase the draw distance in which coronas shine light on surfaces.

-Increase the draw distance that shadows render so you can see shadows casted by distant objects.

-Increase the reflection draw distance so that farther away objects appear in reflections, and so reflections appear on more distant objects, like large glass sky scrapers.

-Repair coronas so they render in the water, and don't reflect if there is an object in between them.
