What setting exactly causing a crash? IDE Tweaker is unlikely crashes because of scripts or plugins, it simply change values from IDE files.

 

From what I see,IDE_DD_Tweaker.asi causes the crash,as I mentioned before,its presence in the scripts folder makes the game crash right before the opening cutscene,where CJ is in the airport taking his luggage.

Danikov, have you set priority on std-asi.dll to 0?

That won't help.. it just disables mod loader from disabling .asi's.

I've never installed GTA SA in program files anyway. Why clicking all the way to get there?

Put the game folder on Desktop or Documents.

classic problems on WIN 7 with UAC b*tch (or something that causes this) = it doesn't allow SA modding

Wow, I finally managed to run 2dfx on my GTAIII installation. It's simply awesome. :cookie: to all the hardworking people involved in the process of developing this mod!
Speaking of 2dfx for GTAIII:
  • Are there any plans to add coronas also for the popular Miss Liberty mod by Odie?

Don't know, not with coronas i believe.

They seem okay to me, but radius is adjustable in DAT file and in INI file for all coronas. But i have a weird bug sometimes when coronas became blurry and very big for a couple of hours, haven't figured what is causing it. Edited by ThirteenAG

I always used the StreamMemFix and it always worked. And now I just moved the mod .asi contents out of the game folder

and everything seems to be fine. Map is already loaded before I walk out of the safehouse.

Cleo version is 4. The settings are unchanged, they arw the defaults.

 

Either the limit_adjuster_gta3vcsa.asi or sa_draw_distance_changer.asi is responsible for this problem.

Maybe its possible to make the corona size depending on the distance ?

For example until 600 the corona size is 0.6, from 600-1500 its 0.5, 1500-3000 0.4 or something like that.

Yeah, Vice City will crash when flying with the increased draw distance. I'd recommend you set the draw distance in the .ini lower. III however, works fine for me, so I'm not sure what the problem could be.

Already does that, except it at one point it stops increasing just so it doesn't look too dumb.

I have clean GTA SA Now.. And im getting this problem when i use this Mod

Which one? No stream memory fix seems to fix it. And I'm not sure which one is the best. have you any good memory fix?

And which draw distance changer? From the IDE DD Tweaker?

 

I use the streammemfix from Alexander Blade and it comes only with the .asi file.

I'm having the same issues as Danikov, I've tried to run the game at Win 98 compatibility, as Administrator, put on Desktop, deleted GTA SA User Files, and the game keeps crashing...

Try to moving your game directory straight into the C: or D: drive,that did the trick for me.

Sa_draw_distance_changer makes my game lag a little bit. I saw the INI file. What a1, a2, and y does?

As ini says, they are a part of that system of equations.

How did your game look like that? My game doesn't look like that and it's very ugly. Are you using timecyc mod? And also colormod?

Just tested 2.1 and wow,I really like the coronas placed on the Pyramid of LV.

Although there's a bug,far distance coronas of lamps are white while when getting closer to them,the color changes to yellow.

P.S. the crash on exit is back if that changes anything.

That's because i set tobjs_draw_distance_multiplier to 3.0 again. To avoid that crash use 2.0 value. Regarding white coronas, maybe you can post a screen or tell which lamppost is it, and TJGM or me can make a hotfix for that.
