Excuse me about car window disappear bug Currently no fix ?

I already told you what causes it in that thread that you made earlier.. and no there is no fix for it, its been discussed thousands of times already.

Only 15 models, it's that all?

That's all. :p I only done the vegetation that really needed it, I'll continue in a week or two. But I just wanted to get these out of the way for now. Besides, I did say I'm done doing them for now, I never said I finished all vegetation, which I doubt I ever will tbh.

Meh, that seems like a major one, I'll fix it now in a second.

Well... there's some more.

 

Some palm trees in Las Venturas, majority of Pines on countryside, Pines and trees on that mountain on Bayside, bushes, desert little trees...

 

Still, good work so far (But the unfixed ones looks like crap now :lol:)

Well I haven't even moved into those areas. :p I only messed around with vegetation in LS for now. If you want, it'd be handy if you could PM me a list of any major vegetation issues so I can fix them all in a few days without looking for them. :3

 

Also, for those who didn't see my edited post, I updated the archive with one more fix.

I fixed the Pre-Lighting of all DFFs that are in vegetation.ide file execpt aw_streettree1.dff and aw_streettree2.dff. I had a problem with them on export but, they didn't need to be fixed anyway. Even any minor bad pre-lighting on any dff that is in vegetation.ide should be fixed.

Not want to belittle TheJAMESGM work, but d3jan, you sir, deserve a medal.

 

However...

 

VgsN_nitree_r01.dff needs to be fixed, it's the palm trees all over The Strip in Las Venturas.

 

Also, don't know the name of this little guy, but it needs fixing too

 

EDIT - I believe it's called sand_josh2.dff
EDIT 2 - sm_fir_scabg_PO.dff might be worth investigating too.

Hey, he saved me the trouble. :p So I really don't mind.

 

They might be part of procobj.ide. d3jan only done the vegetation in vegepart.ide, if he wants, he can do the ones in procobj, if he doesn't do it then I'll do it. Some bushes are in there too.

I fixed the pre-lightning of the whole vegetation, now every tree, bush, flower, even objects in the sea... should be fixed except aw_streettree1.dff, aw_streettree2.dff, tree_hipoly04.dff, sand_josh1.dff and sand_josh2.dff. I had a problem with these models. I repainted vertex colors for las venturas palms.

 

EDIT: sand_josh2.dff have similar problem to tree_hipoly04.dff (format c:'s post

above) I couldn' fix that problem even with simple import/export i get this white mesh on the tree

tree_hipoly04.dff is not a big deal, their original prelight ain't that bad

There's some "cactus" in LV (fixed by yours) that are pretty similar with sand_josh2.dff, any chance to simply replace and rename?

 

By the way, bushes in LS aren't fixed. That's because they don't have a "entry" either on vegepart or procojobj, they are simply models placed on LS. Don't have any ideia of the names.

You can always use MED (Map Editor) to see names of the objects (txd,dff,col names) just double click on the object.

Well some of the bushes in LS (don't know about SF or LV) are more than one in a dff file like on the picture below and are placed in LAe2.IDE, LAe.IDE... I forgot about those, I only fixed the ones in vegpart.ide, procobj.ide and vegaxref.ide

Of course would be nice to see those bushes fixed, but they are minor, so eh... meh.

Anyway, amazing job you done there d3jan.

Now I'm waiting for BLITZ updated lod mod, and then San Andreas will look respectable.

 

 

And of course waiting for the day when Jesus come back to earth bringing a fix to alpha bug.

Thanks, well if someone could give the the DFFs of those bushes... i could fix them.

Anyway I've done some vertex coloring on vegas trees, here's the results:

Thanks to aStiffSausage @LINK/2012 the crashes with the binary IPL script in the bonus download for SA should now be fixed. You can literally spawn in every object (except grass :p) on SA now without any crashes.

 

Although, this does eat up a LOT of FPS and the alpha bug is pretty much always present and the good old flicker bug will happen if you have the draw distance set too high, so use at your own will. :p I'd recommend using LOD trees by Blitz instead if this takes up too much FPS for you, as far as I know he's currently working on it and this should fix the crashes he's been experiencing with those trees.

Probably the end of next month or so. Not sure about that and a changelog yet.

What was causing the crash? Maybe same fix can be applied to gta3 and vc, just in case :) Btw, have you tried to optimize this script to get more fps?
