Hi guys, having this weird lighting bug. https://imgur.com/a/mIvbhn2

Happens on clean install with essential fixes + SkyGfx, Project2DFX and MixSets installed. Tried removing other mods, same thing.

Is it texture clipping that was mentioned earlier in topic? If so how can i fix/reduce this?

still now this problem on only latest 4.4 version  III & VC,, When camera focus on sun it all object become bit darken,,,it happens only day time,,, can u check & fix it?,,, it only happens in Gta 3 & vc,,,,

Set to zero the FestiveLights option in your SALodLights.ini settings.

 

It should look like this:

[Misc]
FestiveLights = 0

my suggestion is,,,, can u make support project 2dfx with debug menu,,it would be better  if 2dfx can be configurable from debug menu like as 👉 festive light,increasing or decreasing corona radius, distance from ground,,sun size,, generic distance etc ?,,, it's a must needed for all,,,,🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐

You ask to fix some headlights bug in next version but for some reason you don't want to use current version where it works well on your side.

Would it be possible to have the distant headlight coronas implemented into 2dfx? Like GTA V and the Definitive Edition has, or is the engine too limited for that?

look version 2.5 (III,VC & SA) have👉 Far vehicle headlight distance,,,, but noticeably from version 👉 4.0,, 4.2,,4.3 & 4.4 this feature is missing,,,that's why i've requested to 13AG bring back this feature again in next version of project 2dfx,,cause it's much beautiful & realistic feature with expansion gameplay,,,

Bug Report : in las venturas airport plane hangers roof are invisible as well as lasventuras flying school building's balcony some parts texture are invisible too..this bug on 👉 4.0,,4.2,,4.3 & 4.4  2dfx version.... i've already checked each version 👉4.0,,4.2,,4.3 & 4.4 2dfx in clean version in gta sa,,, but this problem is causes only for project 2dfx....I hope 13Ag will kindly check this bug report 🙏

 

(N.B👉 in project 2dfx v 2.5 has no problem of this texture missing)

Bug issue (III&VC) 👉 in Gta III & VC,, When camera is focused at sun..all object become darken,,i've already tested 4.0,,4.2,,4.3 & 4.4 2dfx on clean game(III & VC),,but the same result is darkening problem,,it need to be fixed..i hope 13 ag will kindly check this matter 🙏

 

N.B👉 in project 2dfx v 2.5 has no problem of this darkening problem

Bruh, that's not a bug, that is how lighting "works" in real life, try to point your mobile phone camera to the sun and you will see that all other objects will became dark.

Please don't report such kind of nonsense.

 

Furthermore, this project is abandoned long time ago, so nothing you post here will ever be fixed

I'm using v4.4 and I don't confirm this. You have definitely messed up something, or have some other mods that break texture visibility reinstall your game.

Also possibly you have very weak PC with some very old videocard, maybe integrated one with incorrect drivers.

check 2dfx version 2.5 (III & VC)...that version has no darkening problem,,,u ve no idea how it too much bothering....while in flying & driving at sun direction..even gta sa has no such kind of darkenening problem,,that mean III & VC lightning is realistic & SA lightning is unrealistic?

 

,,i ve already clearly said in version 2dfx 2.5(III & VC) has no darkening issue,, plz,,u may cheak it.. suffice it to say it's not a little problem,,, it's a huge problem for gta III & VC,,,,that's why i just report this problem 👈

This is not an issue, it's how it should work. If it's not like this in v2.5 then it's broken there, not in current version

I'm pretty sure the "darkening" effect is also in SA (although it might look a little different there).

Hey all, I apologize if this is an easy fix...

Using skyGFX in combination with SALodLights, no matter what I do, the very edge of the "view distance" defined in SALodLights has an ugly cut-off. If I set the distance to 500, and I'm 500 units away from a skyscraper, I can see it phasing into view very jarringly, with no smooth fog transition. If I stand in the right place, I can view half of the skyscraper with a clean line down the middle dividing it from the unrendered side. Also, if I look left and right, I can see other structures/terrain pop in to view from the side of my monitor.

 

The only way I get the smooth fog transition is by taking an airplane and flying pretty high into the sky. At that point, distant terrain and buildings will have smooth fog fade-in instead of a jarringly ugly pop-in.

 

I've tried messing around with SA Graphics Tweaker and SALodLights to forcibly set the "fog start" distance to be closer than the distance defined in SALodLights, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. Disabling "View Distance Changer" entirely in SALodLights defaults to something like 1100 units, and it STILL has the ugly phasing cut-off.

 

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Can anybody help me?
In the Vice City version there is a small bug and it is that when the mod is installed the light emitted by the lightposts on the ground disappears and reappears randomly. Is there any solution to this problem? I don't know if it's a bad setting or just a bug.

It has happened to me too, try reinstalling everything.

@ThirteenAG I tried running 2DFX v4.5 on GTA IV version 1.0.7.0, but the game crashes at launch. Is this version of 2DFX even compatible with 1.0.7.0?

Read the important part on the github page, it clearly says 2DFX V4.4 and above is only supported on GTA IV CE and above. Download 2DFX V4.3, it's the one compatible with 1.0.7.0
