Is it possible to run this mod in GTA 4 with another ASI loader? Currently I can only run this with an ASI loader that is named to xlive.dll. But that disables GFWL, and I would like to use this mod while having access to GFWL to unlock achievements while playing.

 

When I try to use other ASI loader, it crashes when loading the savegame.

Is it possible to increase VERY EXTREME Draw Distance for all games? Currently I can't increase more draw distance of this time. But only 100x. Can someone help me please.

What is it?
Project 2dfx is a set of plugins for GTA III, VC and SA which increases object draw distances, adds LOD corona effects, allows to use a big farClip in timecyc without crashes and fixes flickering + holes in map, a limit adjuster and an increased object limit in total which cannot be achieved with any other limit adjuster.

Installation - San Andreas
What you need:
Mod Loader
Silent's ASI Loader

Then simply extract everything from the archive into your San Andreas directory.

Installation - III/VC
Extract everything from the archives into your game directory and that's it.

Supported game versions
1.0 - III
1.0 - VC
1.0 - SA

2dfx.ini:

CoronaRadiusMultiplier - Global multiplier for the size of all LOD coronas.
CoronaFarClip - Draw distance of LOD coronas.
CustomCoronaTexturePath - Change the texture of LOD coronas.

IDE_DD_Tweaker.ini:

enable - Enables or disables the IDE DD Tweaker depending on values. (0 off, 1 on)
patch_tobjs - Allows you to edit the draw distance of tobjs objects.
patch_lods - Allows you to edit the draw distance of LOD objects.
patch_generic - Allows you to edit the draw distance of generic objects.
patch_all_normal - Allows you to edit the draw distance of every object.

tobjs_draw_distance_multiplier - Multiples the draw distances of tobjs objects depending on the value.
lods_draw_distance_multiplier - Multiplies the draw distance of LOD objects depending on the value.
lods_new_draw_distance - Specifically set the draw distance of LOD objects.

max_draw_distance_for_normal_objects - Specifically set the draw distance for non-LOD objects. Non-LOD objects can't go above 300 draw distance, this option allows you to change it.
generic_new_draw_distance - Specifically set the draw distance of generic objects.
normal_new_draw_distance - Specifically set the draw distance of every object.

limit_adjuster_gta3vcsa.ini:

Most of you won't need to edit these values, so I'll just mention the ones that you may need.

AlphaEntityListSize - Specifically set the size of the alpha entity list, should fix some alpha bugs.
OutsideWorldWaterBlocks - Specifically set the number of water blocks outside the map, should fix no water with high draw distances.
StreamingObjectInstancesListSize - Specifically set the streaming object list size, should fix issues like the flickering map. (no longer need flickr.asi)

Restore your timecyc.dat to normal (or even better, rename your timecycp.dat to timecyc.dat to not use the broken PC timecyc.dat).

I'm also using Skygfx - didn't tweak anything there too, but I don't think that has something to do with it.

I always found that effect to be rather nice looking, could be PS2 behaviour, but because PS2 doesn't render traffic lights that far ahead you'd never have that occur.

What if you remove skygfx? Does it still happen?

I see. So can you please tell me what line in .ini file is responsible for this yellow glow?

 

 

*EDIT* I'm quite a doofus, found the line myself and it was easier than I thought. I fixed my issue. Ty ThirteenAG for the hint btw.

So my SA keeps crashing at that certain spot and have been testing the game for the past 2 days, all single script and mod and without modloader files and so on and it seems SALodlights is the culprit. Without SALodlight, that spot will not make SA crash, this is the spot:

And settings? Default settings and latest version.

I'm not sure wether to use flickr and yacl.asi or not and no longer needed.

 

-edit2- Tested both without flickr and yacl, still crashes at the same spot.

I use this mod for a very long time and never had a crash in such place (and others too)

Crashes at certain places might happen only if the game tries to load unexistant object from img

 

Have you tried to check this on clean SA install? Just removing some mods manually isn't enough in that situation

Playing SA clean with only p2dfx is..impossible due to it being stutter-ish and it looks disgusting. I could try it with SP patch.

SA is not really stuttering but it doesn't play smooth anymore due to not using SilentPL patch and also misses the directional lighting, which some knows it as illumination.

You don't need to play only clean sa with p2dfx. Try this just once if it will crash in that place or no.

Hello. How to install this mod on GTA Underground 3.3? It worked with Underground 3.2, but with 3.3 version - not.

Hey, my draw distance in GTA 3 is not working correctly ever since using this mod. Things directly in front of me disappear out of sight completely, and even after changing the draw distance settings to try and fix it, it remains the same.

 

I will post pictures when I find some more time.

install mod correctly , use 1.0 exe , tweak ini file

LoadAllBinaryIPLs option don't do nothing, any chance of this being looked into?

Mod has been installed correctly, I am using 1.0 exe, and as stated before the ini file has been tweaked.
