The Health Bars

Most famously, GTA V Oclock is on record speculating about "what are the extra bars next to health? maybe it's for special abilities?"

 

I'll put all to rest right now: The bars are health, and armor. No one in the gameplay video has armor on. That's all it is. Health, and armor. And they shoulda did it one on top and one on bottom in my opinion, but whatever, what they did is cheaper to process a single line where negative is health and positive is armor than it is to do two separate bars anyway. So it's at least a good sign of optimization.

Wasn't that obvious? It is the same style as the health bars in Max Payne 3's multiplayer.

This has been mentioned right after the video came out. And then again, nobody actually knows for sure!

 

So even this is - as reasonable as it may be - merely a theory.

 

People need to stop taking stuff that is logical or somehow more likely as given facts.
