So this "confirm" that GTA: Online will be a whole new game/series of the franchise? Not just a simple multiplayer mode for V?

It's not confirming anything, since we haven't even seen GTAO yet. GTA IV had it's own subforum for multiplayer, so it made sense to us to have one for V and GTAO as well. With the reveal coming up and nearly only a month away, we'll be talking about this aspect of V more and more.

To be honest, I didn't care much about multiplayer at all, so I never noticed the multiplayer section of the other GTA games.

 

But it's ok then. Let's see if this time they made something big for GTAO, and bring more players such as me to play online.

For anyone wondering, the reason the forum was put here rather than with the rest of the GTA V forums is because GTA online is clearly not just confined to GTA V.

Yeah, GTA IV free mode, for example, has been tonnes of fun with many, many mates of mine. Great memories of all the banter. That fun will continue for many years to come with GTAO.
