Single Player or GTA Online 'first' ?

We saw like 10 seconds or so of actual gameplay from GTA Online in the previous Official Gameplay Video weeks ago and it's got everyone speculating and getting pumped! This Thursday will be even more exciting! Question is, what will people play first? What will YOU play first? It's going to be so tempting to decide whether to hop online before you start playing SP. Are you gonna head straight into GTA Online and start ranking up right away and soar up those *leaderboards* ( *for those who are dedicated* ) or will you just casually play SP and not even worry about jumping online?

for me GTA never was about online .

Single player. I only buy games for single player and the online is just a bonus. I'll try the online once I have 100% in the single player.

Duh, is that even a question. If you get GTAV just to automatically play Online before anything, you need to leave the front door open, so someone can steal your couch..

I will probably complete the story mode before i start playing online. The only bad thing about doing that is people will be much higher rank than you are when you start playing and will probably own you.

I'll try online first so I can get used to the controls and then switch to single with my dong in my hand.

GTA is a franchise that has traditionally and will continue to always focus on the single player aspect of the game. Online is nothing more than an added benefit.

 

I probably won't even touch online until I finish the entire campaign, but that really depends. Definitely will be playing single player first. I won't even free roam - I will jump right into the story.

I've had a 360 for over 5 years now, and still haven't even registered for Live, so...single. I'm sure Online will be the tits if you like MP gaming, but its just not my bag, baby.

Single player first. But there's no way I can have this Online mode sitting there gathering dust until I finish the SP. Especially after all this hype about "revolutionizing online open worlds" and with the easy *press down on the d-pad* drop in feature. it's just not gonna happen.

Depends. I have a buddy I play online with so if he's online when I get it, we will probably jump online first. If not, single player.

I couldn't remain alive for more than a minute in Deathmatch in GTA IV Multiplayer even after Completing GTA IV Single Player

Single player until I've beat the story at least twice. Then, I'll probably dick around in free roam for who knows how long... And then maybe one day, if I'm really bored and have done everything there is to do in single player... Then maybe I might try Online.

I've always been a single player person. I would much rather play me and a friend just play co-op in the game than play online with a ton of people.

i used to play COD, im a beast a cod. BEAST. checkout my few bankshot vids if you like (YOUTUBE LINK)

 

but then i could not pay my internet bill and have to play through my IPHONEs connection, theres no point playing cod on it, its far too laggy ( 3 bar ) , but GTA IV online seems so smooth , and Cops and Crooks 1 for all mode is awsome fun , much more fun than owning people on cod.

 

but still, ill do single player first

I always go to GTA for the best singleplayer experience in a game. But based on how GTA Online looks on Thursday I will probably check it out before beating the singleplayer.

 

But I don't think I will be heavy into multi until I complete the singleplayer.

Single player, beat it about 10x's. But I'm not sure if I will get to deeply in MP.

I might check it out for a few, but mostly SP.

In IV, a bunch of jerks tried to blow me to hell with a heli,

couldn't hit me so kicked me out

When I unlock Trevor Michael & Franklin then its straight online leveling up for the rest of the day. Then the next day I will be in party chat playing single player

I'm the type of guy that always plays singleplayer first in any game that features both, and I never touch multiplayer until I complete the story.

First, about 3 missions on singleplayer and then unknown time on multiplayer. I want to check them both as soon as possible.
