4thosebout2rock
Well if you are aware of the band in my signature I am just as pumped for there new album as I am GTA V so V will be a good way for me to keep my mind of the album and make the wait for it more bearable. If anyone else here is an A Day to Remember fan you will know exactly why the wait is so unbearable at this point.

DroLeo
I was much more excited for GTA4 than I ever have been for GTA5. That brings up a good point, actually. I was wondering how R* managed the marketing for IV compared to V. I wasn't around then (I was strictly PC gamer at the time, I spent all money on my rig and was too broke then to afford a ps3 for a while. AS SOON as IV was available for PC I bought it) and I certainly didn't follow the info about it. I was truly butthurt about not being able to experience the new GTA, and so I never visited these forums. Anyway, anybody who was around, could you tell me how it was? Were R* as confident in the product as they are with V and barely showing anything? I remember following and obsessing over Red Dead Redemption, because I was actually a fan of the old Red Dead Revolver, and because I finally had a PS3, many other reasons, etc. etc. (I get like this over every R* game I know I can play) and remember the media for that was actually pretty all inclusive. They showed off the horse mechanics, gunplay, MP and pretty much released enough to keep me rabid and wanting more... Basically what I'm saying is that I'm familiar with the Red Dead hype, the MP3 hype (again, big fan of the previous 2) but not IV. I was going to start a topic about this, but idk, I'm lazy. NOW to stay on topic: GTAV hype is something completely else. I've never had this kind of hype either. The last games I felt this for (to a lesser degree) were Hitman: Absolution (Ugh... such a disappointment) MP3, Skyrim, Red Dead, and I think the only other one that approached these levels was San Andreas... I remember having a preorder at my local mall, and on release day, I went to go pick it up. The damn line was out the front door... OF THE MALL. I was not waiting that long =P. I walked right up to the secondary line that was open for returns, returned 2 games, and said "Oh, yeah, one more thing. I have a preorder of San Andreas, could I pick it up here?" Dude wrapped it up in front of at least 100 fans waiting for the game, handed it to me, and I was off. I actually felt like I was the s***, when looking at the absolute SCOWLS from everybody else. I felt like I was going to get shanked and robbed like never before.
Lelouch The Zero
I'll be hyped again when I get my first job. nobody will probably hire me because I have Asperger's. I'm too nervous in front of people in public. I can't even look people in the eye! I'd probably have several panic attacks while working. If only the people i worked with and for I knew them all well, too bad. I'll probably mow my own lawn so my parents can pay me to just get the game, how pathetic. ALMOST610
I do not even want to think of what comes next, I am only focused on GTA V, cant wait, I am just looking forward to the feeling I get everytime I play a new GTA Map, that first moment when you spawn as the player and have no idea where you are, and every corner turned brings that little bit of excitement as to what is around it and the next one. Gnocchi Flip Flops
Hmm... maybe a new new car soon, a new house in maybe a year, going on trips outside of the city, maybe Christmas? I can think of a whole lot more things that can get me excited just like I did with V. It's just a game, damn.

Alenko
I am SO hyped for this game right now that it isn't even a joke. I just want to play this game already. I want it. GTA is the only game that has given me this feeling, and that last good feeling I got was 6 years ago when IV came out. Damn, this anticipation is building like mad! Every time I watch one of the trailers I get emotional. f*ck you for judging me. Take me, R*! Oh yeah, here's something to think about guys.... That feeling driving to the local Gamestop/EB on the 17th. 0oooooooooooo.....

Patriot_Action
My intent wasn't to be a callous prick just because I can (not solely, anyway). Guard yourselves against overhyping. I've watched overhyped games crash and burn, as well as turn out merely "good" and die quickly. Literally counting down the days to teh bestest things evar is setting yourself up for disappointment. Just roll with it. Work extra hours. Get ready for school. Masturbate. Whatever. Just get rid of that nervous energy, or you'll burnout.

Guest
I'm actually not that hyped for this game, which is actually a good thing for me because I don't want to be TOO hyped. The last time I was really hyped for a game was with Assassin's Creed III, and that game sucked ass.
