Finn 7 five 11
Okay, I really, really hope for your sake you turned it off straight away. If not it's pretty likely you have done some damage to the board. Anyway, let it dry out for a long time, until you're 100% sure there is no water. It could be fine provided you turned it off straight away. Sucks for you, those suckers are expensive as f*ck.
UtricularEwe001
Too late. Unfortunately, today the apple support guy said to me that it's beyond economical repair. It's dead FML

Finn 7 five 11
Next time, any electronic, power it off right away, just pull the battery out where possible, or just hold the power off button, then do not use for like a week while storing it in a dry place. My Galaxy S II has survived numerous puddles, swimming pools and rivers this way.
unc13bud
naw, that apple guy is full of sheet and is trying to get you to buy a new one. macbooks are designed for people to spill water on them - they know their owners are idiot refugees from installing too many viruses on their windows laptops! because you spilt JUST water on it, i think you might be okay with just sticking it in a basin of rice. rice has incredible absorption abilities. i had a moronic friend actually fall asleep and spilt soft drinks all in his keyboard of his g4 17". we doused it with DISTILLED WATER and let it dry for three weeks (didnt know about rice then). thinkpads are built for this also -search on youtube for videos
