Some guy named deepthroatgta4 posted it. He knew of GTA IV info before it was announced and posted that image which I guess alluded to GTA V.

I remember last August when we first found the Epsilom Twitter profile.

 

Those were the days....the drought was so great that we latched on to that little bit of hope and made a massive topic out of it.

 

I also remember all the protag wars we had with people going "no it's balcony guy", "no it's hispanic guy", "wat no I dont want to pleh a 40 year old old man dafuq gais no gtfo this is no longer gee tee aa".

 

I also remember the monthly GI threads we had with many lulz. The best was when it was Mario.

 

The greatest would have to be tho when we got screens for the first time last July/August. We were so thirsty that those screens that week were like a godsend. Dat silence after tho...."in a few weeks or so" lololol.

Yeah, you just hate the type of criminal activity that is mainly done by ethnic minorities. When a black person does types of crime that can also be done by white people then that makes him better for you I guess.

Another debate about racism on GTA Forums. Which inevitably always crops up as soon as someone mentions they don't like Franklin. Of course, they must not like Franklin because they are racist. I bet if Franklin was the exact same personality-wise and all they changed was his skin colour people could dislike him without being labelled racists.

 

Just saying, I don't dislike Franklin myself but he is the character I am least looking forward to playing. I am indifferent towards him at the moment, hopefully that will change once we actually get into the game and we see the way his character develops. But as of right now, he's the one I am least interested because of the way his story seems to be going i.e. gangbanging even tho he is trying to get out. Who knows, for all I know he'll be the most interesting to play once the game comes out!

 

How about you guys take this to PM before this thread goes further off-topic and gets locked?

I've just been seeing these comments of people being called racist for not being interested in/disliking Franklin since last year. I guess I sort of addressed those all at once in my post.

 

I generally avoid debates about this topic so I haven't really noticed universetwister's stance about it aside from what I read in this thread.

A couple of months after November 2011, I just remember day after day, week after week, month after month, with nothing, then more nothing, like a prison sentence where I always expected to hear, "Your parole date is XX/XX/XX," but I just kept waiting, suffering, never hearing that important information, never hearing anything real, never knowing my fate, losing hope every day until finally no hope was left, thinking, "How can it be more than 6 months from now? What did I ever do to deserve this? Will we ever be set free?"

 

All of us were in the same prison camp, in our cells, with the same uncertainty, the same neglect and misery. At night, when it got quiet, we could quietly whisper among our cells, creating verbal forum posts called the GTAV Forum, where we shared our speculations and our hopes and dreams of what the world might be like outside, to keep up our spirits after another day, another week, another month, another year of nothingness. Baseless rumors spread like wildfire, giving false hope and painful, inevitable, predictable letdown shortly after. What a community of lost souls. That was us.

Sound White?! Not that I'm defending him, but that seems like an awful generalisation... I've heard plenty of black people sound just like him, I don't know about them being less black.

My favorite part of the wait has been following the mapping thread from the beginning. I even ID'd a couple of stores early on. As a resident of the real life counterpart of Blaine County, it's been fascinating seeing the area around me come to life in a video game.

 

On the flip-side, the WORST part has been watching the whiney bitches destroy the integrity of that thread over the last few hundred pages. It was once an awesome display of research and mapping talent. Then the recent newcomers turned into a PMS-induced session of pissing and moaning. R.I.P., Mapping Thread!
