I think some employees of R* said they truly believe multiple protagonists will be a standard in the future for open world games, so, yes.

Well, its a good question, I think this whole multiple protagonist thing will continue only if people really seem to like it, we will really know that when the game comes out.

They tried the concept out in IV and continued with it in V. Will there be multiple protags in VI and others gta's? Most likely.

Will it be in every gta? Most likely not.

I wouldn't be surprised if GTA reverted back to a one-protagonist structure. It really all depends on whether or not it'll do the story line justice.

I really think they'll see how it's received in V when the game is out and plan accordingly. If when we're playing it it turns out to be awkward and doesn't really add anything they'll either not do it again or revamp it all. If it's good (and it promises to be) they'll most likely do it again, depending on the plot of future games and if it will fit in with the plot or not.

I think they'll go back to one character, it should feel new and fresh going to back to one character after having 3.

To be honest the multiple protagonist feature in games isn't unique to gta 5, a bunch of previous games had multiple protagonist but not in the way that gta 5 has. I don't think it should be held as a standard since it wouldn't work in many situations.
