when was the biggest GTA IV leak?

So my question is, how many days before the official release was GTA IV leaked ?

I remember a photo of the map/poster that came with the game was leaked a while before release date.

the first vid that got "leaked" was on youtube, about 10 days before it got released. it was just a big screen and some guy showing the intro and opening mission, Then this video explosion happend on youtube. IV leaks all over the place, And vids got deleted one after the other. it was crazy too see all that.

I'm bailing on this forum in a few weeks, will stop searching for GTA V info online and will also be avoiding social media sites. After that I'll just stick to looking at the main Rockstar site until the 17th of Sept.

There's only a mere 5 weeks to go and I refuse to let some dumb troll spoil everything during this critical period, after many months of excitement and anticipation.

GTA IV released on the 29th April 2008 - one of the first 'leaks' was reported on the 23rd April (http://www.g4tv.com/thefeed/blog/post/684812/gta-iv-leaked/)

 

The printed map however was leaked about a month before (late March - http://kotaku.com/372415/gta-iv-street-map-leaked/)

 

So, it'll be interesting to see what happens this time around!

Well, I guess the first leak will be online two or three weeks before release. I remember one month before the release of Portal 2, someone already made a walkthrough on YouTube of it. ONE MONTH! And of course, there are spoilers everywhere before the release (Halo 4 I think got leaked and spoilered a month before release too).

I remember a few leaks 10 days prior to release. I remember watching one leak for 10 secs then turning it off.

I dont know where you guys live but here in Finland no one runs around in the streets and yells spoilers about GTA or any another games x)

Unless Rockstar has really cracked down this time around, Id give it atleast another week or so before we actually start seeing leaks of info for GTA V. The game is pretty much done now and most likely discs are being created already.
