I really don't want to kill Chop because I will cruise with him a lot when I free roam with Franklin.I will probably kill other dogs in free roam(really just depends on my mood) when I go on rampages with Trevor lol. I am against this in rl but this is a game, these pixels have no feelings. I have never went on a rampage in rl nor do I have the desire to. These kinds of games for me are a stress relief and let you do things you could never do in the real world.

Chop is a dog, it is different than any peds we had so far which were only humans, so people simply want to have their virtual fun in a new way that is now possible with the introduction of animals. And Chop is emphasized because he's player's dog and a named npc that is not just a generic fores animal.

I like dogs, I'v got one myself that I love, but what you say is just bullsh*t. If your whole family was killed in a accident were you : I'm fine, my dog is still here, he's a better person than my familly anyway.

Why can humans be evil and not any other animal? animals often act in similar ways to humans.. dogs are pack animals they often attack each other in the wild to be head of their pack. Cats often fight each other for territory. Both theses things are done by humans but on a much larger scale.

 

You get a few humans who kill people for no reason but these people often have mental problems and they aren't stable but you also get animals like this. My cousin used to own a dog which was lovely 99% of the time who they treated right but now and again would flip out for no reason and start attacking them biting and everything, in the end they had to put him down as he was to dangerous. If this dog was a human and it ended up brutally attacking people for no reason i have no doubt he would of been seen as "evil"

Why are people making a big deal out of this? It's a game. Imo games are here to get away from reality. And be welcomed by fantasy, and I killed many dogs in RDR. (For sheer enjoyment) and never abused an animal ONCE in my life. Killing animals in GTA V is in there for the same reason killing people. For enjoyment, I'm going to drive some giant car in the woods and run over as many animals as I can. For enjoyment.

Maybe a little different but some Chinese people eat dogs. It wouldnt be good to eat them alive, so they have to be killed, just like chickens, pigs and cows. Some people have chickens, pigs and believe it or not cows as pets...

 

They might not kill them w/ a blast to the face but they must be killed none-the-less for consumption.

I love dogs too, I really pay it no mind what ways gamers want to "chop" Chop down with, however.

Frankly we tend to attack and even kill other humans that attack other people w/out just cause. If chop attacks the player then I have no problem mowing him down, just like any other animal that attacks a human unprovoked. I dont mean because its innate to the nature of its breed to go ballistic, especially on small children. If a person is beating the dog in the head etc, yep I'd expect the dog to attack but not because someone looks *tasty* or somehow threatening to the "territory" (property) it has claimed by urinating on it... That just wont stand up in court, the animal would need to file the appropriate paperwork and pay the applicable taxes and fees
