People used to say how watch dogs absolutely sh*ts on GTA V in the graphics compartment, but it was unfair to compare next-gen gameplay to a current gen game. When on an even plane, it's clear how much more technical skill R* has over ubisoft. The video looks seriously bland and poor, with few objects being rendered in the world. It seriously looks worse than GTA IV did back in 08 on the consoles. Be happy people, GTA V not only plays amazing, but also looks pretty damn good for these 8 year old machines. Because it's an open world and you can shoot? Let's compare fifa and pes,let's compare doom and duke nukem,let's compare wow and diablo. It's called a genre. theworldfamous Posted August 11, 2013 Share Posted August 11, 2013 I think that's looking pretty good all things considered. Mind you watch dogs is pretty too and there's a lot of interactivity. It's not going to compare to V, sure... but V just has that magic. It's kind of unfair to compare any other game to it. Most developers don't get the kind of free rein Rockstar has, for one. I was pretty skeptical about watch dogs before, afraid that it would be caught in that generation gap with pretty graphics but not much substance. Oh so the E3 Ubi host gets killed by a vehicle.....omfg, amazing. Ubi has been on a roll for a while now making stupid decisions and also simply f*cking up their games. AC? next please! Far Cry 3 was a very good one, but boy did they f*ck up Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. Then there is no reason to play GTA V when Watch Dogs is out on Next gen. Graphics don't make the game. The gameplay is what makes and decides if the game is good or not. They say they'd be fine even if V came out looking like San Andreas but we know they'd secretly be fuming because it wouldn't be acceptable, no matter how good the game is, to take such a major step backwards in any factor. Obviously graphics are not the only thing that makes a game, but they enhance it to no end. And just because I value good graphics doesn't mean I'll just stop playing older games, the graphics are as they are and nothing will change that, however if a game came out now looking like a PS2 game from 2004 I wouldn't be impressed, no matter how good the game is the graphics would let it down somewhat if they were truly substandard.
