Ambient_
So we've seen the mini-sub in a screenshot, what -in your opinion - are the odds that R* will add a full-fletched military, nuclear submarine to GRAND THEFT AUTO V? I personally think it's likely as they spent so much time detailing the seabed. Thoughts?
GarrowsKai
Nope. Maybe a static one at a dock, but not a driveable one, they're too big for a game like GTA V.

Nothing is too bad LOL We have oceans and a sea this time around. Theres no reason it couldn't be done, however i feel as if it'd be boring to drive. Just my opinion though. Well it would be, the map might be big but trying to move a nuclear submarine around the coastal areas of the map would be ridiculous, and all that ocean detail will probably only go a few hundred in-game feet out. To put it another way, imagine trying to fly the Atomic Blimp a few feet off the ground around downtown LS, now increase the size of the blimp a few times so it's a similar size to a nuclear submarine and you see my point. It might be fun to do once but not enough to warrant it's inclusion in the game, and it would serve literally no other purpose.
acmilano
Wasn't even Tug boat in IV make problems on the map? I expect one non moveable, like the one in San Andreas, but nothing that size that could be driven.
Cutter De Blanc
Would be cool if the coast guard had a submarine of their own to chase you in. It would be damn hard to steal.

I remember reading about the LAPDs brand new fast attack nuclear submarine. So far we have had people asking for underwater bases, nuclear weapons, zombies, space shuttles and now attack subs. What the f*ck is wrong with you people? Did your brains take a collective sh*t?
Cutter De Blanc
I think a nuclear sub is going overboard. I was just thinking something bigger than the mini-sub, and armed with torpedos to blow our asses out of the water if they need to.
Negan
Lol this is not Just Cause. If you want nuclear submarines play Just Cause
SaintsRow3
Dont think so, the lag would probably be pretty bad.
RoadRunner71
Los Santos [and the whole San Andreas] would have to get ready for disappearing from the face of earth However, like has been already pointed out, the lag would be insane.
Skozza89
They've only just created an ocean world for us. What would be the point in a nuclear sub? There'd be no point or functionality to it. Maybe as the guys said just one docked in a port somewhere but i doubt there'd be a fully active vehicular one lol
Palm3
How cool would it be if you could control a full sized SUB I mean, we can fly the blimp, maybe even 747's.. why not a SUB? I would like it Shooting torpedo's @ police boats he he he
soulreaper2453
Lol this is not Just Cause. If you want nuclear submarines play Just Cause lol there is no submarine of any kinda available for use in any Just Cause game. Although like someone else mentioned, a slightly larger sub than the yellow mini sub we have would be nice, one that is armed.

trevors685
Doesn't it require an entire platoon of highly trained people to operate one of those?

I'm not sure, but didn't rockstar say at some stage that the oceans were as deep as the mountains were high and after seeing chilliad in the preview I'd say that's pretty deep.
