Do you wish to respond to locked threads?

You know what I mean, for example on the gang section where a noob puts in something like "gang" and puts something lackluster with a crude advert for their gamertag/PSN ID? I would feel like sarcastically saying I want to join, but not really join.

And before any mods come in here, I have tried using search and I don't always find results. Also feel free to ban this if you want.

Usually, the reason mods lock the thread is to make sure that nobody goes in and says the last word, because in threads like that, it seems, everyone wants to have that last one, and that's the main reason they end up such sh*t storms. So naturally, what you are suggesting would completely defeat the point of locking the thread.

 

That said, I know the feeling. I'm sure everybody came across something like that at one point or another. But even having an ability to unlock the thread, post something, and lock it back, I do contain myself. If the thread got to the point where the only thing to do is to lock it, then the topic should just be allowed to die in peace.

the main reason they respond sarcastically in my opinion is that they want to sound like they are funny and land up in the quotable notables thread. everyone has that feeling including myself but i usually refrain from posting such things.

Only when the thread gets locked while I'm in the middle of typing out my post. Otherwise I don't really care.

I would like to respond when it's something about the actual topic subject and not something about the reason why the topic got locked. I hate when a whole topic gets locked because a few guys were arguing or whatever, instead of taking measures about those guys.
