LotusRIP
I have a feeling that the planned DLC mentioned in the following article: http://www.gtaforums.com/index.php?showtopic=571042&st=0 ..will be PS3 exclusive (for some period of time). Just take a look at this. Note also that every preview, screenshot and video of the game has been the PS3 version. If Sony are throwing money at them for exclusive advertisements on the side of buildings, I'm pretty darn sure they are capable of throwing money at them for DLC content. Considering Microsoft did the same thing with IV - I think this is Sony getting their revenge. Sorry Xbox guys

LotusRIP
And not a single f*ck was given that day. Aw. You're in denial. That's cute. But seriously... I thought I'd put it out there so you guys aren't in for a rude shock come September 17. All signs are pointing to some sort of PS3 exclusivity. I don't think it's a problem with the previews and such but for DLC content, certainly seems a bit rude. But I guess we should wait for confirmation before getting too hostile. Guest
Honestly, I think this saying says it all: "What goes around comes around" Would I be upset that I had to wait for DLC? A little. But at the same time, my gaming brethren on the PS3 & PC had to wait for DLC that I got before them.

LotusRIP
It's for both systems. Unless you been under a rock for the past year and a half. It's being marketed exclusively as Playstation 3 in lots of advertisements going up. Not using the word "exclusive" ofcourse, because the game is not, but the advertising alone is. DLC could very well be considering IV's DLC was Microsoft exclusive for a long time... Also - where's the Xbox 360 GTAV headphones and bundle? Just saying... all these things are suggesting Sony are throwing money at R* to get exclusive deals. DLC content would be #1 on their list if that's the case @NeilFallonsBeard if they are willing to pay for exclusive advertisements on the sides of huge buildings... I'm sure they can afford the DLC. I'm not trying to start a console war and if you feel that way - then maybe you're just the one who feels one console is better than the other, and you're pissed that it's not yours. The point is possibility of exclusive DLC content and only money is the answer to that.
Bonnano
Exclusive? I doubt it, I mean it will be basically an early access, but it will be released for other systems at a later time.

G D
Let's remind everybody, the GTA IV DLCs were released in 2009 exclusively on Xbox, the DLCs finally released on PC & PS3 in 2010. This sounds like Sony's revenge. Also, GTA III - SA released on PS2 first, with the PC & Xbox versions released within 6 months - 2 years at most, and that my dear readers is a fact. another fact is VCS & LCS are PS exclusives. At the end of the day, GTA has more Playstation blood than Xbox. TBH, i'll lose some respect for R* if they pull a GTA IV DLC all over again, this time on Xbox. Coming from a Playstation owner. Though i'd like to see Xbox fanboys suffer like we did, i still remember the mocking of the damn fanboys saying sh*t like "GTA is Xbox, Deal with it" F them. The last time Rockstar did exclusive dlc it did not end well for them (it's the reason V won't have episodic DLC) so why would they do it again? Exclusive advertising isn't sh*t, just slap the ps3 logo on their advertisements, show footage from the the ps3, bing bang done. No net loss there. Don't try pulling that sh*t with me buddy, I can see through your ruse.

DeafMetal
I hope not. I hated that sh*t with GTA IV... fans shouldn't be limited when buying the same game. Eutyphro
Guys, there isn't gonna be DLC like there was for IV. It was a commercial flop. There will be negligible DLC like clothing and cars. No fundamental new storylines. And every console will get it.
PHOENIXZERO
If there was exclusive or timed-exclusive DLC, they would've announced it already. The game comes out in a month We didn't find out about the PS3 version having some extra content for RDR until the weekend before release when the games arrived at stores and were in the back where someone took a picture of it. It was never formally announced by Rockstar or T2 beforehand. I think this time around if the PS3 side is getting a bonus it'll be announced at Gamescom but there's nothing stopping Rockstar/T2 from keeping quiet about it again, there has to be more in it for Sony to pay (or split) the marketing costs because of a bundle. As for a timed exclusive I doubt that greatly, even if the PS3 side only gets it a week early but considering what MS has done with CoD, BF and GTA IV I probably shouldn't, it won't be anything like IV's year long wait though and probably more like 30 days if anything. But I wouldn't be at all surprised if there's some PS3 exclusive along the lines of RDR again and I think that's much more likely. What other games has Sony gotten bonus content for besides RDR and the Assassin's Creed series? Guys, there isn't gonna be DLC like there was for IV. It was a commercial flop. There will be negligible DLC like clothing and cars. No fundamental new storylines. And every console will get it. No one should be expecting IV's episodes in terms of additional content, a major problem with the episodes is one, they only came out to one console on release, two the user base of that console is split with most people not having HDDs so they couldn't even download the content, plus there was a lot more consumer ignorance on DLC in 2009 than there is today oh and it didn't help that the first episode came out almost a year after IV's release. So yeah, sales were disappointing and it really should be no wonder they were, it still sold well but the amount of money put into it was the problem, even if it was Microsoft's in the form of an advance/loan. That doesn't mean they won't do another $10 add-on that's smaller in scale like RDR's Undead Nightmare (which was critically and commercially successful) instead of what was almost a new GTA in its own right. They're not going to just do nickle and dime crap like cars/clothes though hopefully they put them in packs and not individually though I'm still not sure this is what they'll do. IMO RDR and Max Payne 3 are still good indications of what to expect. Edited August 10, 2013 by PHOENIXZERO
