I'm not talking about the current gen versions, I'm talking about the PC and the next gen versions. Did you see the new gameplay trailer? At night the game looks terrible compared to the day. That or the graphic-o-metre has been lowered down a notch. And this is on PC version. -Physics: Wind and water simulations. Not just "effects" like in GTAV. Every single NPC's hair and cloth receive authentic simulation What do you mean by "effects?" I think that the hair and cloth simulation is the same thing as an effect. By the way, um, boob physics - The gameplay: How can it be annoying when you've seen only a snippet of what there is? Hack into anone if you want to. Go stealthy if you want to, or go bam-bam with over 30 guns. Notice how smoke comes out of the gun in the "Out of control" trailer? Details man, details. And is hacking the main highlight of the game? That's the problem with games like Watch Dogs and Just Cause 2. They focus on one main aspect of the game and half-ass the rest of it. GTA V doesn't have a highlight. All of it is perfected, excluding tiny useless details. -The city size: Easily more than twice the size of Los Santos and with far more density and details. If I get bored of that, I'll jump to the countryside. Mark my words. The countryside in GTA V will ATLEAST be twice the size of the countryside in Watch Dogs. -The story: The story looks as enticing as GTAV's. The story is just a loner trying to fit into a game of the year. It may work if you try real hard, but at the end of the day it comes undeserved if the rest of the game isnt as good. -Minigames: Manyy minigames and side-quests confirmed. Same as GTA V. Probably even more. -Animations: They even got the hands-in-pockets right and trust me, that is some tough sh*t to implement. Little details like hands-in-pockets are useless when trying to compete for GOTY. However the main animations do matter. -Parkour :Can you parkour in GTAV? Well, you can jump and climb up things. They're not zombies, zombies are dead people who come back to life, infected are people who have insects crawl through their brain and have giant wounds sticking out of their head and are still alive but can't control their own bodies. They can't see but they use hearing to find you instead of CoD zombies which just come straight towards you. My opinion that I don't like the zombie theme is sh*t? lol ok. So you're saying The Last of Us is zombies? Zombies = Dead People Infected = People who are still alive but can't control their movements. They may have somethings in common but still are different. Also the game has you face more humans than infected. Still like to know your PSN: If you don't have one I can easily assume you're just a mad Xbox owner who couldn't play a wonderful game called The Last of Us. I don't like the zombie theme and imo infected people ect are just the modern version of zombies. Never said TLoU is all about zombies, just saying it doesn't appeal to me. That is neither the PC nor the next gen version of the game. If you are talking about the E3 demo, then no, that isn't the PC version either. What do you mean by "effects?" What we'll see/have seen so far in Watch_Dogs's next gen/PC versions is full-on, proper simulation. And is hacking the main highlight of the game? rodrich266 Posted August 10, 2013 Share Posted August 10, 2013 The competition will be between Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, The Last of Us, and Grand Theft Auto V - Bioshock Infinite is good but its really repetitive and the best thing about the game is actually the huge plot twist in the end - Tomb Raider I liked a lot but it is not so hyped up right now so when voting time comes I don't think it will win - The Last of Us is a great game and I loved it, but since its a PS3 exclusive the Xbox peeps will not vote for this game probably - GTA V has been hyped for years, already won the most anticipated game award last year, and will be on PS3 and Xbox 360 so it is not a limited audience like with TLoU and most likely will get more votes GTA V will win it no doubt, I think it deserves the Game of the Generation Award but maybe it is just because I waited for this game for 5 years... StevenTCShearer Posted August 11, 2013 Share Posted August 11, 2013 I love GTA but you can't say it's going to be GOTY considering we haven't played it, yes Rockstar North are amazing and I have faith that this game will live up to the hype (That in itself is good) but I can't say it is right now. However can GTA V be GOTY?
