If No, which game will be on the top ? I believe, GTA V have lots of chance to be GOTY ! It looks really fine, and R* works hard on it, however some aspects of the game are disturbing for some people, and maybe it couldn't be allowed to be GOTY. So what do you think ? Watch Dogs is an original concept. GTA V is a sequel. Realistically, no matter how much I love GTA, I do not think it will be game of the year. I think the critics would let the new guys have it. It has to be. the only other games I see being close are The Last of Us & Bioshock: Infinite. & The Last of Us was a PS3 Exclusive, so a lot less people would have played it. BioShock seemed to be a great game, but a lot of people felt disappointed by it. I haven't played either of those games though. Other contenders are coming out well after TA V though, & then their better next gen versions possibly later, so I don't see them winning it. However I have a sad feeling that The Last of Us may win it, simply because it is more story driven & emotional & just simply more appealing to the general public, rather than a kill shooty stealy game. It's more serious & emotional, & like an all time great movie. I really wish I still had my PS3 so I could play it & see for myself what it's like. Personally The Last of Us is my game of the year so far but GTA V has every chance of topping that. The other game that could give both GTA V and The Last of Us a run for there money would be Batman: Arkham Origins. I think it will be good, and that it has a chance to get GOTY--IF it can beat The Last Of Us--which it most likely will not cause that game was the best since Uncharted. TLOU is good for a good story & 1 playthrough. its linear, really long, & boring sometimes. that game is overhyped as f*ck, its not that fun. 2. Bioshock is complete trash, ive never liked 1 game in the series. they are so f*cking boring & it feels like a chore just to play it. 3. Watch Dogs looks fun but im guessing there wont be much to do after u finish the game. 4. GTA V lol all i gotta say... its a R* game, its gonna be f*cking awesome, they havent made 1 game that id rate under a 9. its a shame to see some people saying TLOU is GOTY already ur turning ur back on GTA? It's impossible to say how good a game is without playing it. I have no loyalty either. I found GTA IV to be disappointing. I hope GTA V doesn't go the same way. Based upon all that I have garnered from the disclosed previews, screenshots and trailers, the delivery and execution is poised to be unprecedented, as will the caliber of detail. Rockstar Games is the epitome of professionalism, with their workmanship / craftsmanship, the degree of which is elevated to a new power with the conception of every installment. Moreover, Grand Theft Auto titles are timeless, memorable and nostalgic of course, i.e. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
