greenrock Posted August 10, 2013 Share Posted August 10, 2013 most of us believe Michael is the "central protagonist" of the 3.... but it seems like in the most recent artworks that feature the trio, Trevor is usually in the middle now the gameinformer, and the trunk artwork have franklin in the middle, but i believed that was more of a marketing thing, to have the black guy in the middle between two white guys... to stand out but now the steelbook artwork, the brady guide artwork, and the hotel mural... all feature trevor in the middle it doesn't really prove anything, its just a theory i still believe michael is the central focus of the story Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

All three main characters have been in the centre of artworks. The positioning is ironically symbolising that there is no central protagonist. If there was a "central" protagonist, don't you think that would make the entire idea of having 3 different protagonists pointless? There won't be a central protagonist, there will not be one out of the 3 that is more important to the story then the other 2. All 3 are the main characters. That's the entire point of this system. If GTA V comes out and they DO make one of the 3 more important then the other 2...well I'll still enjoy the game but I'll feel as if they wasted the potential they had with the switch system. I'm thinking that at least one of these characters will have a story that appeals to somebody though, so the central one could be whoever's story you find the best or most interesting really. He was the first voice we heard. They have marketed it that way, especially when you consider Franklin the "Son he never had" and when Michael says "Have I ever told you about Trevor?" making us feel that he is clinging on. Of course not. I'm sorry if I sound rude or offensive, but that's just stupid logic. I do understand it though, it happens in Movies & other games, but this is GTA V, & there really isn't a main protagonist. You could make a case for Michael, but he's simply the one the story will likely start with so the story makes sense. Besides, they have to be n some order, I guess it just looks better putting specific characters in a specific order, depending on their pose or what action they are depicted doing. Honestly, I'm looking forward to Trevor as he's a bit different but it'd be better if he was in the game less as he's the crazy one. No. Like others have said. they keep switching them to show us that all 3 men are just as important as one another. All are vital to creating a great story.
