Actually, back when we got some info claiming the game takes 25 hours to beat - he made a separate thread correcting this claim and specifically stating: "I have now fact checked with someone much closer to the project." But he did "retire" and he definitely posts far less than before. I think Adriaan will win alot of the awards, mostly because of all his hinting. He definitely deserves recognition for how much he contributes. But if 8 medals doesnt prove that, then I dont know what will. 'Hinting'? What's that mean? I've never understood the deal with Adriaan, I wasn't around here when he was a regular, could somebody fill me in? Adriaan would hint at upcoming information quite a bit last year. Sometimes giving us cryptic messages and eluding to dates and such. His hints always lead to something, most likely due to a rockstar connection he may or may not have. /Adriaan He is "connected" to Rockstar Community Manager on LinkedIn He worked at IGN and he worked on GTA related content there. He also worked on GTA related content on other sites. I'm not talking about the last autumn and his hints. These awards are for the V section only but you've nominated members that never even post in the section let alone venture into the section (ZAZ, STM, miromiro etc). As far as I'm aware, nominating yourself won't let you end up in the Hall Of Shame, not in the V awards nor in the annual awards. It is another story with voting yourself; you get yourself into the Hall Of Shame on the annual awards for doing so, and the vote doesn't count then. The fact that it's well established who the trolls are (plus the few who admit to it) are allowed to just spam, and troll threads without getting banned is sad. I think you two have misunderstood the point of these awards and its rewards. It's supposed to be fun, and it has nothing to do with encouraging trolling, or whatever. Trolling is not present here because it's encouraged, it's present because the next installment of the GTA series is about to launch. The same goes for flaming, the amount of pointless topics, spam, and so forth. It happens every time a new GTA is about to come out. It was like this in the pre-release time of IV, and the same is the case now, just with the difference is that this forum has far more users nowadays than years ago. These awards are for fun, they are not serious and not supposed to encourage negativity. The winners of positive categories like Most Helpful may receive verbal commendations, whereas winners of negative categories won't get any rewards.
