I don't think forums should be a democracy because that'll just create chaos. I think mods can decide wether he should come back. I agree with that but I also think one mod shouldn't have a right to ban you. I think it should be a choice atleast out of 3 people. They should only have the power to lock, temp ban, edit any user post, and pin a topic. I've notice a lot of mods uses their mods stats as a advantage to everyone. There are some draw backs to the system but it isn't how it would be now. My system would be 2/3 mods have to agree to ban someone. When the person gets ban they get IP ban. They will no longer be able to create accounts on this site. When a mod bans someone its just their name. Proven by Zidane they will continue to make more accounts. This system will give admins more power, it would bring mods down by a lot. I respect most of the mods that were forum leaders on the V section but find some of them clueless at times or even not helping the forums. My take on this is that 2 to 3 mods taking a decision together isn't quick enough for someone like Zidane, or just to quickly get rid of a terrible troll in the V section that is creating carnage. And they also have dynamic IP and Proxies. So IP ban isn't the end solution to all trolling. But what I think is that mods have shaped how they manage these forums since these forums started, and they probably have a much better idea of why it works how it works than you and I do, because they work with it and we don't. So I'm much more interested in what they'd have to say about it.. It's an interesting topic to think about though. As someone already said, he was a good contributor in the V forum. So was sad to see him go. I remember trying to get him unbanned as no other mod agreed to it. But nothing happened. Well sivispacem is kind of like a big VIP on the forum ha ha. But yeah you couldn't expect him to get him unbanned, sivispacem had the backing of Melchior and some others who claimed they Scottish kept ruining every discussion but he was actually a pretty decent member. There is no way that post is ban worthy, many have done worse and got away with it, shame Girish didn't think twice before whipping out the ban stick. Stop abusing your powers, yo'. Even though you are one of my favorite mods on here you got to understand that a lot of mods use their so called upper power in a negative way. I've seen it a lot of times. A mod will let someone slip by if they break a rule. Cause they like the person. I even ask that said person if they got a warning and yet they don't. I'm not going to name names. They expect normal members to respect them but in the end mods seem to always have a attitude to regular members that either disagree with them or speak their mind. I honestly think some of these mods need to lose their mod stats and either become a forum leader again or retired staff member. Kjacked is the biggest douchebag I've ever seen on this forum. He gets into arguments with everyone immediately. It's all he does. Then when pointed out that his arguments are screwing up the topic he acts like he is the authority on posting on topic, and he starts whining that telling him to stop arguing is off topic. When you tell him he is doing something wrong he never has a normal response. Like someone telling him that the vehicle database topic is not the place to talk about his car. So he posts giant pictures of his car to annoy that person that rightfully told him not to talk about his car, and starts an argument about it. He also screwed up the LS size topic on a constant basis. He was the most annoying member on this website and contributed nothing. Just go through a few pages on his post history.
