As someone already said, he was a good contributor in the V forum. So was sad to see him go. I remember trying to get him unbanned as no other mod agreed to it. But nothing happened. It's a bit hypocritical that he got banned for that post seeing that the person he responded to is not averse to ad hominem/belittling himself, albeit rapped in thesaurus english that often times almost needs a NSA-Grade cryptologist to decipher. They have demoted and banned staff in the past, Demarest being the most notable example. @gtaxpert They shouldn't no, but it happens. Or someone gets banned because the person banning them, has some kind of issue with that someone. Bear in mind that moderators are also forum members after all, everybody has their personal vendettas. Wouldn't be the first and certainly not the last time someone uses his/her position of power in a less than licit way. My point though was that it is not totally fair to judge The Scottish Guy's banning based on that one post, when a lot more could've been involved. But you are right that it could've been a large error or a personal vendetta (what a cool word, vendetta, sounds Italian..). But my point is just to withhold judgement. They say he was banned for beating sivispacem in a debate. irony at it's finest. (sivispacem has 2011&12 best debater) Yeah, I'm pretty sure that wasn't the cause. If they banned people for that all the time, like half the forum would need to have been banned after the delay. It was just sad, really. People would throw insults at Zee, he'd report it, and it would get ignored. As soon as he replied, he'd get warned/temped etc. Unfair to be honest. Like one time some guy made hateful comments about his mother (how she should have had an abortion). Zee ignored it, at first, reported the member. Nothing happened. As soon as he responded, Zee got temped for a month and the other person ignored. The whole thing smells of Girish's doing imo. Edit: Turns out I was right. I knew it was him who banned zee. You are giving an award for misbehaviour, and people use it to fight out personal vendettas, like against mods who temp banned them which made them butthurt. I think it's entertaining. But seeing how this thread just gets spammed by people requesting unbanning, maybe it wasn't that good an idea. Only negative award that is cool is 'smallest member'. Exactly what i'm thinking brother Either don't reprimand anyone for trolling and related behavior and in turn award it.. or do enforce your rule and don't award rule breakers.. currently there is a double standard, that is even visable to a new comer like meself.
