sharpie_eastern
Simple enough. Its most likely your planes structure. Take a original plane from the game you're trying to convert this to (lets say VC). First you're gonna wanna import original VC plane into 3ds max and move it to the side, out of the way of point 0, 0, 0, after that you can either hide it or keep it open, doesn't matter. Once you've done that import the plane you wanna convert and then go to graph editor- new schematics view. Know which plane is which in the schematics view, once you know look at the structure of the VC plane and match the structure of the plane you're trying to convert to the VC plane. After that do any other needed steps (texturing and what not.) then export and you should be good to go. This method works with all GTA games just use a the original plane of the game you're trying to convert your mod too as a reference pretty much
JohnPro
The answer to this question is very broad. There can be many reasons as to why it crashes during spawn. First lets narrow it down. Did you change any handling lines? Did you delete any dummies and/or parts? Did you attach your col file to the dff? Did you make a col file? Is the name of the col file correct? (not sure if this can cause crash) Did you create a txd? Did you compress your txd textures? Dx3? Did you use high detailed model? I suggest maximum 10,000 polys. How big is your dff? Edited November 3, 2013 by JohnPro
