Don Sal Leone
Hey forum, What are your thoughts on the Official GTA V Brady Games Guide. Are you buying it and if so why? I'm still contemplating on whether or not its worth it since all is on the web. A part of me still prefers book guides whilst the other side says there's no point. What are your thoughts? Peace. Johan
I bought the limited edition so I can have a nice long read while in the can after I beat the game of course, it's also great to collect. But if you're going to use the book, I really recommend it.

PlainGold
Well, if you are a collector, you can buy it otherwise it's pretty useless considering that all walkthroughs of the game emerges on the web on the day of release. I'm just giving you my advice, you choose if you have to buy or not.
Saintdestroyer
When people who buy these Brady guides discover the Internet, these guides will be obsolete.
Quackerz Gamerz
I've pre-ordered the Limited Edition guide along with the Special Edition of the game. I prefer book guides, but sometimes I may need to use the internet to help if something is explained poorly or something. I'd get it if you were either a collector or prefer book guides, or even both.
golf wang
Like others have said, it's worth it if you are a collector. If you aren't interested in collecting it, then you might want to save your money as walkthroughs, hints, tips, collectibles, etc. will probably all be online very soon after it releases. or1
I think it's worth because it's Rockstar's official guide, and because it is surely written in a much more interesting form than the guides you will find online, and it has additionally Map that i'm not sure but i think much more detailed than the normal maps

And guess what? It's free.
Rick88
I'm definitely getting it. Been collecting every guide since GTA Vice City. I even got the Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories guides. I personally love the way they're written and I find them very convenient.

GTAmsterdamN
Why buy a guide when you've got the internet
Hodgey.
I buy it as its something i like to keep after the game, i dont use it during the storyline as you may read a spoiler while you are flicking through it, i do use it though when i have completed the storyline and are lloking for collectibles. Darth Mike
I hope Bradygames will make a very good guide like the one of GTA:SA, which was much better than the one of GTA IV.
d3ex2
When people who buy these Brady guides discover the Internet, these guides will be obsolete. I'm buying the guide!! I must be using magic or something to post this! are you stupid? we know we can get all the info online. it's a matter of preference. have you ever thought of that maybe some people don't like using the internet and would prefer flicking through a physical book??? Don Sal Leone
Thank you all. You have given me much food for thought. I'm not sure If id be classed as a collector, or hardcore gamer haha. I've preordered the SE and Normal editions of V. I do have a few other SE games myself. Yeah I'd only use it for collectable items, Car locations and other trophy huntables or special spots. For story I'd play the game through a few times. As you've said it will all be on the web, though Brady games do write their guides very well. I'm sure some one will develop a GTA V help app for mobile.
abczyx
Of course, everyone here has forgotten that the Brady Guide will give you all the information on day one, whilst the internet won't. It'll all be on the web eventually, but it'll take time, especially for the latter missions.
Tradey4Life
I bought the guide, I'll read it at work or while I'm on lunch break or something. I've still got the san andres bradeygames guide from back in the day. It's a good read, heaps of stuff in there.

kastrenzo
No, don't buy anything from Prima Guides or Bradygames. the information is always inaccurate, and/or false. and you can get all the information you need online, like a wiki/wikia
waikzguy8998
It's worth it cuz it's an interesting read after you beat the game Just kind of cool to collect because it has hundreds of more screenshots, cool information, collectible stuff (if u want help) and plus it's a good ole piece of nostalgia for when the game is 20 yrs old
fac316
When I got the guide for IV, I read it and it spoiled 80% of the story for me. It was useful in finding those overly pesky flying rats and stunt jumps (esp. with the pics), w/ this gta, since we've waited half a decade for, I want to do everything myself. jdwarfer
I'm not into special editions and stuff but I made an exception for GTA V. I so pre-ordered the special edition of the game and strategy guide. I don't care about the additionnal items that the collector edition provides but the strategy guide seems interesting enough for me. With those artworks, and of course all things the game have. I'm quite lazy about exploring big maps so this guide will be usefull to find stuff without taking hours to find them. And maybe also to help me to complete the "pain in the ass" missions that all games have.
