First of all, I'm not a pirate what so ever.... but EVERY GTA game since San Andreas has been leaked about a week early online through torrents and file sharing websites. Do you think that GTA V will be leaked as well or has Rockstar stepped up their game and became smarter at preventing it?

Every gta since sa? Thats only IV (and its DLC) as far as I know.

I think the real question is how long will the leak last? I don't think a Youtube video of GTA V gameplay before release is going to stay up for long. Nonetheless, people will probably paraphrase and post about it elsewhere.

it sadly will, but I'm going to be blacking myself out from any form of social media from sept 1 so the it will stay a surprise for me and it will make the 17th a lot better and enjoyable.

Most likely yes, Halo 4 got leaked 1 month before release if I remember correctly and some users who played early it got banned, serves them right.

Yes.

The ending to Halo 4 was spoiled for me... I tried so hard to stay away from it, but it still got spoiled for me because of some stupid asshole.

Not only do I think people who get the game early should be banned, I think the people who spoil the game before release should be banned also.

Um its not coming out to PC until like Mid 2014... which pretty much forces you to buy a console unless you actually have the ability to go 6 months without playing the best game of all time.

Year? People have been waiting on this game for a long time!!

 

For a lot of people we've been waiting almost 2 years. Even more people have been waiting for the next GTA game since they completed IV.

 

This is probably the most anticipated game of this generation. Of this decade (even if we are only 3 years into it). Maybe of this century or millienium or of all time!!!

 

But yes OP it will leak.

Um its not coming out to PC until like Mid 2014... which pretty much forces you to buy a console unless you actually have the ability to go 6 months without playing the best game of all time.

You can pirate the Xbox 360 Version but you would need a modified xbox. I don't believe you can pirate the PS3 version though. Also the PC version hasn't even been confirmed yet...

If you don't update firmware then yes it is easy, if you do, then you have to wait for jailbreak update and not update firmware. It is same as with other softwares.

Someone will either upload the .iso to torrent sites or someone will get the game early.

 

A store where I live is selling the game on the 14th September.

 

 

Considering GTA V has already been shipped to the stores.

 

It is highly likely that it will get leaked or we will get some leaked gameplay footage.

Source? Pretty sure the game hasn't even gone gold yet so it won't have shipped.

Don't be silly. The game isn't going to be sitting in the back room of stores for 38 days. They'll get it less than a week before Sept 17th.
