Most of them weren't used to playing a realistic game at that time since the last game we played was San Andreas. (Most of us) However 5 years later, we have played a lot of games which are realistic so we will be familiar with GTA V, so no I don't think GTA V will disappoint. maloy82 Posted August 24, 2013 Share Posted August 24, 2013 im just gonna say on my opinion take it how you want it, gta 4 was fun to an extent but boring as hell, i had money, but nothing to spend it on what was i gonna do buy the same clothes over an over again, there was no varitety, what so ever, same routine everytime i played, gta 5, if i dont wanna go to work for a couple days , ill fly around check out the scenery, do some quad riding in the mountains, an that my friends, is why gta 5 will not suck, there is variety, if i got money this time, ill take my chances, on the stock market, or see whats for sale etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I didn't mind IV anyway, sure it wasn't SA... but it was good. I actually liked the driving too, I still do aswell... but TBoGT was defo loads better then straight IV. I am against this in rl, but this is GTA ffs.... Other than that everything else I want I know is in the game like properties, planes, customization, shooting looks badass and I like all the main characters. If the driving went all arcade like I might cry. Literally the one thing they could do at this point. That or take out cheats .-. I love my ridiculous cheats. IMO GTA IV is no more realistic than every other GTA. It just has a more grim and sombre tone in a much more detailed enivronment. None of the stuff you listed from 4 was all that great anyway, barely anyone is going to miss that weak sh*t IV had. San Andreas was just more fun, it's not even remotely close either. IV as a whole was basically limit ALL the things. Character movement was sluggishly sh*tty, driving sucked, gun play was sh*t, melee was sh*t, then you add on not being to buy anything worthwhile or planes/jets to mess around with? The driving sucked, dude. It restricted you far too much from doing anything remotely fun. GTA 4 may have influenced GTA 5's development and it could very well turn out to be disappointing like GTA 4 was. Lets start by saying that GTA 4's story was very weak and the missions were way too repetitive. For most missions, you would go from point A to point B to kill your target. All you did was kill, kill, kill unlike San Andreas' missions which were very diverse and interesting to do. The driving was very weird and you can't customize your vehicles. You also can't purchase properties and own businesses. The weapons were also lacking in GTA 4. Rockstar took out the over the top weapons such as the chainsaw, flamethrower, minigun, etc. The graphics weren't that great. It felt blurry and the lighting was off. There also wasn't as many interiors as in past GTA games such as malls, clubs (minus TBOGT), 24/7s, ammu-nations, police stations, casinos, etc. There was almost nothing to do when you finish GTA 4. San Andreas has so much side stuff to do such as parachuting, driving monster trucks, robbing houses, gambling in casinos, hotring racing, exploring the wilderness outside the city, turf wars, causing chaos with army vehicles such as tanks and hydras, etc. Point is, GTA 4 was a major step back in the series and very disappointing. Hopefully GTA 5 won't go this route. I'm losing hope for GTA 5 seeing how bad GTA 4 was. Rockstar messed Grand Theft Auto up big time with this generation. Hopefully they can get back on track with the next generation of consoles. *Give me your opinion why GTA 5 won't suck. IV honestly wasn't bad. Honestly, the story was interesting on an emotional stage and seemed somewhat realistically plausiabble besides all the killing, very much unlike San Andreas. Don't get me wrong, I loved both games. And IV didn't "suck", sure it may have lacked it certain features that were plentiful in SA but the damn game is a dark drama. R* wanted to try this route on and they most definitely succeeded.
