I feel like there are gonna be alot of new myths and easter eggs surrounding this new underwater world, with the ability to explore with our submarine it makes it much easier to spot sh*t like giant squids. Can't wait!

i don't think you'll be able to use most weapons underwater at all, maybe a knife or other melee weapon, but not any gun. the only exception being a harpoon gun, which 99.99% of us hope is in the game but isn't confirmed. i don't think a harpoon gun is going to "lose accuracy" underwater either. if anything it ought to lose range not accuracy, because water is thicker than air - more friction -

 

you lose accuracy shooting into water when you fire from the air into the water, because of the change in density going from air to water, a projectiles angle changes. starting from underwater and staying there, no change in density - so what happens is a bullet travels slower, therefor a smaller overall distance, because water is thicker than air -- you only lose range and speed.

 

re: the direction this thread is taking because i don't think they read the post..

 

i hope this baby has some torpedos or something. OK that's a little far-fetched, but whenever a PC version comes out, i hope someone makes a mod to give it some, or even a mini-gun that shoots tiny torpedo bullets.
