I still have my receipt for GTA V

I had it for 2 months I keep it in my wallet. I just keep freaking out if Gamestops computers crash. and They lose my pre oder. If I show them the receipt can I still get it  ?

Keep it and take it with you when you go to get the game.

That is, unless you're having it delivered to your house.

 

I have to pick mine up plus its only a £5 pre order so I have to pay some too.

 

Side question: does anyone know about these £5 pre orders? Have I paid to pre order it or is this actually part of the price for the game? (So I only have to pay £35, assuming its cost £40)

Are you not allowed to pay for than £5 before you can pick up the item?

 

Around here, you can pay the full price when preordering it, or pay some up front, and go back whenever you want to keep paying for the preorder until you have paid it off and not worrying about having the money on release day.

 

Usually the £5 goes towards the final price. and should not mean that you have to pay the extra £5 when you pick up the item

Dude those recipts are MADE to last, the ink dosen't fade unless you put it out in the rain calm the f*ck down just put it somewhere in your dresser or something.

Tell that to pretty much all of my Best Buy receipts that have never seen sunlight or water...

 

Now that I think about it, its probably a conspiracy having them use fading ink so we cannot make a claim for repair or replacement of items....

NO as long as you either have a ID or have a powers up card you should be find.

so what do they recognize your face or something?

You give them some information that they keep on record. When you go to get the game they can pull this information up and see if your paid for it already and what not.

You spelled for real wrong, and yes there is a chance, the sun is going through what is called a solar max cycle, causing solar storms, if the earth was to get hit by 1, it would act like an EMP and knock out power grids around the world, and wiping computer memory in the process.... come to think about it, the sun as been pretty active lately with these solar storms, let hope 1 doesn't come in earth's direction.

Yes, I think this is the most likely scenario, largest CME ever generated on the sun, directly ejected toward earth, supercharges the earth's magnetic field and erases all hard drives on the planet, including GameStop's PowerUp customer list, all preorders go into the oblivion of eternal entropy, nobody gets to play GTAV.

 

Either that, or some guys in the Anonymous hacker group try to hack into GameStop's customer database to set themselves up to score free GTAV pre-orders, but they accidentally take down the whole server farm and initialize the database.

 

Or a new clerk at an obscure GameStop in Kansas accidentally keys in the GameStop enterprise admin password and doesn't realize it, doesn't see the command line prompt, "To erase customer database, press ENTER" and he hits ENTER expecting the cash register to open, but instead the database gets wiped.

 

If your number's up, it's up. Nothing you can do.
