Zinthaniel
any updates? If there's no updates within the next few hours I'd assume the people painting probably do have the weekends off. Or perhaps people are way too lazy to go take a photo Well......perhaps it's lazy Saturday for everyone. I think they are working on it - Sunday is lazy day for them then, lol srsly, get some pics guys! Nobody from LA? I don't believe it... -.-" I live in los angeles but not down the street from the hotel. Hotel Figueroa is in the entertainment district of Los Angles. It's across the street from the Ritz Hotel ( Mile High Club), Staple Center( Sports Stadium) and the Nokia Theater (concert hall) as well as a bunch of clubs and restaurants. It's literaly a 4 minute walk from the convention center where E3 was held. So it's not likely that to many people on this forum live near it. The lofts and homes that surround it are high class and high costing upscale homes.

I would have to ride my bike or take a bus. I don't live in downtown l.a.

J-B
Look at the mural painted in a MediaMarkt in Spain, IT'S HAPPENING GUISE, now the ads are in the whole world....!!! I spy a 360 logo. Makes me wonder if Sony may have worked out a deal with Take2 for the North American marketing due to the 360's prominence in the region.

Zinthaniel
WHY? The paintings and ads only have an allotted time. Once it is spent the murals are removed for another ad to be painted in it's place. The same will happen with Hotel Figueroa.
jlamay
Do they actually paint the pictures on the buildings? Do they follow a pathway when they paint the pics? Does RockStar have to buy a piece of the building to do this on? Just wondering how they do all this. Trying to learn things.

Any corporation wishing to use the particular wall for an ad has to purchase rights to an allotted amount of time for the mural. I believe, though I could be wrong, prior to the actually painting the artist outline the drawing on to the wall first

FAH-Q
Do they follow a pathway when they paint the pics? Yes, they trace the artwork first, then they paint along the guidelines they traced. It's like painting on a very very very big easel.

Usually what will happen is that first they will always start by painting a white background and then painting the outline on. Case in point here is the GTA V boxart paring a few months ago. before it was complete Large Size http://i.imgur.com/hBXi96o.jpg You can obviously see outlines various things. From the outline alone we were able to get a good idea as to what the box-art would look like and everyone was fairly close.
