MrSpooge
Grand Theft Domain? Lol seriously i don't think this has anything to do with the website launch. They've been after that website for an entire year, by now we'd already have the GTAV Website.. Something tells me they'll have to just use a new domain name, which I hope they do so they don't have to pay this twat for the website.

Killerdude
Gta hasn't been released under a 'Grandtheftauto.com' domain, they put it through their own official Site, 'rockstargames.com' We already have the Official V site, it's been here since the first trailer. http://www.rockstargames.com/V/

aaronimpact
I'd like to know why the person bought the GTAV.com domain name in the first place? If it was to make a quick buck, then the person is an ass.

If you search on your browser "gtaiv.com" It takes you to rockstargames.com/iv The same would happen with gtav.com R* and TTwo just want the domain to keep it as theirs, not because they actually need it. It helps to market the site, since it's easier to type gtav.com than the whole R* page.

There will be no dedicated site. http://www.rockstargames.com/V/ That is the official site. http://www.rockstargames.com/iv/ Is IV's official site. Okay, you misunderstand again. Mr Spooge believes there is a dedicated site hosted by itself for GTA IV called: www.GTAIV.com. Perhaps there once was, but not anymore. He also believes GTA V will have it's own DEDICATED site. Rockstar obviously is moving away from that and have since relocated GTA IV dedicated site to Rockstargames/IV. They are doing the same with V, it will not have it's own site, it will be part of Rockstargames in the form of Rockstar/V. They are trying to buy www.gtav.com so they can redirect people to the Rockstar games hosted official site.

Maybe this thread isn't as redundant as one may think, but it could still be nothing. Plus why does it auto direct you to http://www.rockstargames.com/V/ when you go to GTAV.com? Doesn't that mean they'd already own it?
