Rural areas depress the hell out of me because they’re crazy isolated and they make me think of sh*t in a very finite/temporary way

does anyone else feel the same way or am I just nuts?

I don't like nuts but I can finish this bag of nuts in under 30 minutes.  Sometimes I lick the inside of the bag clean.   I love dry roasted nuts.

Nah, I read/watch a lot of crime and did a lot of research of Serial Killers in college and a lot of them used isolated homesteds to keep their victims or would attack in isolated rural areas so yeah when I drive in rural areas I sometimes wonder how many bodies are buried there or how many bodies were fed to the pigs

While I absolutely love the show The Office enough so I could binge watch it but I don't like the last three seasons and won't watch them, Usually around halfway into season 7 when they started looking for Michael replacement basically any episodes before season 6 I could watch over and over again but episodes between 6 and 7 I could take or leave it as I personally though the show started doing downhill when Dunder Mifflin was bought out by Sabre their rating started to drop after that too but the new cast that came in after season 7 just stunk up the show they should've just kept the orginial cast and turned the focus to Jim & Dwight once Michael left.

Man, nothing better than being out in the free. Forever fields reaching the end of the horizon, woods that calm your mind and going off-road on the 2-stroke moped with the friends while smoking cigs and getting drunk and stoned in the middle of the forest.

You just let your dog out unsupervised, you just open the door to the yard and take your mad morning wizz without any neighbors to care about. You blow sh*t up with modified firework and shoot the annoying pigeon that wakes you up in the morning with your Gamo air rifle.

You grab the moped to buy snacks in 1 of the 2 local supermarkets and greet the cashier whom is an old classmate that hasn't left town yet.

You grow dope in the nearby swamp and maybe take a swim in the lake stretching up to it. You f*ck your girlfriend in the wild and curse your neighbors for driving their tractors on your land.

Man, country living is the finest.

I've mostly always showered every other day and thought that was normal.

It seems majority of people think you need to shower every single day or even two times a day, which just seems excessive to me. I think it largely depends on a lot of factors. In the Summer I'm more likely to shower everyday because you get more sweaty, or if I'm exercising a ton. However, on a normal day I don't really see the issue in skipping a day as long as you put some deodorant on and freshen up a little bit.

Except winter because daily hot showers are bad.

Plus there is some research to suggest that showering too much is bad for your health as you don't allow the opportunity for the good bacteria on your skin to develop which acts like first line of defense against other infections.

By all means keep yourself fresh and don't be a tink, but a daily shower... ain't nobody got time for that (plus it's a waste of water, energy etc.)

I usually shower every other day. Sometimes I'll skip an extra day because I'm lazy and I spend a good deal of my free time at home.

I hate being touched by other people. Hugs? No thanks! Kisses? That's gross! Handshake? Keep that willie holder away from me! Accidentally touched the cashier's hand? I have 24 hours to live!

I think most of Netflix's content is really bad. I recently renewed my subscription after a two month break and I'm already regretting it. Considering cancelling it. Most of the originals are okay at best, and the film selection is seriously lacking.

I have no idea why it's still more popular than other streaming sites. Basically just name value these days.

Weird.

I mean I have a seriously tight space bubble,  but an honest hug is great.  A random [attractive] stranger touch can be exciting.  The naked feel of a lover is unmatched.

I agree, Netflix is very overrated, IMO. I have the subscription but I spend more time watching content through other means.

Sitting through a movie longer than 2 hours is not doable for me anymore. I don't enjoy it. 1 hour and 30 minutes is the sweet spot.

- I've always wanted to know why women find the male genitalia attractive. I mean if we like boobs or butts it's because they are shaped beautifully but a penis? Why do they like that weird thing?

- I have become very picky when it comes to movies and games these days. Uniqueness is very important to me nowadays and I just can't play/watch the same crap like I've used to.

I stopped reading/paying attention to the News recently and honestly it's made me happier.

Obviously some news is unavoidable, but so much of it is just depressing. The world is bleak enough as it is most days.

The Sims 4 is basically my Therapy tool.

Living vicariously through your sims, and getting sucked in to a world where you can find success and happiness and do the things you want to do and fast forward through all the dull and empty parts of the day.

Although my real world OCD definitely peeps it's way in to the game as well. I have to make a neat sim and keep my house looking spotless in game as well. 😂

Same. Like at work, Christmas time, when everyone is going home Christmas Eve, everyone goes around and hugs, and I am awkwardly giving one back so I don't seem like a bish. I also hate when people tap me on the shoulder. Takes everything inside of me not to punch them.

Somehow every movie seems 2 times better when I watch it after midnight. That's why I pretty much always do that.

The last 5 1/2 years I have been working at sales manager at a company for industrial solutions. Anyways at this job I had my own office. Quite everyday I spend few hours at this forum, reading and also contributing a little bit. Tomorrow I will start a new job, which probably will not allow me to spend so much time at the internet, so at this forum.

In fact I have been paid during I was spending a lot of time at this forum xD.

So staring from tomorrow I will be less here. At home I generally don´t spend a lot of time at the internet, anyways I will have a look from time to time.
C ya.

I spend so many days longing for the past than living in the present. Whether it's watching older movies/tv shows, listening to older songs, or just watching lets plays of older games. I spend a lot of time wishing I was in a different year.

It's actually playing video games that I feel keeps me 'current' because I'm not a retro gamer and play all the newest releases.

I have a better memory than I let on in real life.

I can remember really small details about people, even if we've only briefly met. I usually hold most things to myself because I feel like it comes off creepy/stalker-ish. The truth is, I'm just really good at remembering those sort of things.

I can remember small things that happened at School that I can guarantee majority of people forgot about. Maybe even things they did themselves. I wish I didn't have such a good memory at times honestly, because I remember really embarassing sh*t I did and Nostalgia is so prevalent for me.

Same! Even if a film is longer, it shouldn't feel long if i'm engaged with the content.

I blame Peter Jackson for my lack of patience

That and complete CGI Battle Fatigue

When something feels long or I catch myself looking at the run time then a movie has failed in my opinion. So many movies have done that to me lately that I just don't bother with them much anymore.

I think one thing that has made me enjoy movies less is how good video games have got as well. The story and cinematics are basically better than most films now.

whenever someone i used to know randomly see me, i’m like “wait you that kid who’s been blah blah blah” or “sorry man i think i don’t care about people enough to remember them” even though i remember every single one of them because

1. it’s so satisfying

2. i’m not seeing that old crap as good times

I confess I'm with ya'll.  We lived with 90 minute films forever.  FOREVER!  Now they are creeping into the 3 hr realm.   I don't have that kind of time.

Double posting for a completely different whole hearted confession.

Such an odd confession for me that I'm going to do my best to not ramble through it...and keep it brief.

Quick background.  Outside of the original Sugar Hill gang break out album in 80/81 I hate rap, and hated hip hop when that showed up.  Kind of makes sense.  I'm a deadhead that was raised in an American folk music house.  Hated rap.  Hated hip hop.  That's it.

Lately I've been enjoying when I hear some old school 90s hip hop.  I no longer hate it.  I think maybe because the direction(s) that rap took are so drastic that revisiting hip hop for me almost feels refreshing.

But my real confession has to do with now.  I live in a quiet city neighborhood but on one of the more busy streets.  I get to hear a lot of different music coming out of different cars as they stop at the light.

There seems to be a revisit to the hip hop sound.  And I confess I don't hate it.   Kinda like it to the point where the last song that just stopped at the stop light and moved on didnt go away and I got to hear more of it.
