Managed to blag my way through my entire first year of University only doing two pieces of coursework and none of the exams, it really wasn't for me; not the time, not the course...maybe not even the place.

 

Having to actually examine my aspirations in depth, my choices before were based on never feeling happy (and so just choosing options based on practicality alone), getting put in touch with counsellors was probably the only decent thing that came from my experience there - saved me from making some...poor decisions - a "long-term solution to a short-term problem" as they say.

 

Unable to confront my family about it though, I keep feeling from time to time that I just don't care for them at all - it didn't take my mum dying to realise my brother was and continues to be a mollycoddled prick. Combined with a father whose only influential contribution to my life (apart from ya'know, my DNA) was to make sure I didn't go to grammar school, on the rationale that because he didn't like it as a kid obviously I wouldn't either. My nan refuses to look after herself or let anyone help her, subsequently complaining that you're not there enough for her...the entirety of my dad's side of the family is determined to question me in everything I do and on my mothers side an uncle that moves house seemingly so often that he is the spiritual successor to Edward Snowden, constantly fleeing, although in my uncle's case from a middle-management job in a betting firm rather than the collective intelligence super-structure of the United States. A bit different...but just try telling him that - at least you could if he wasn't incommunicado.

 

Even worse, the only thing I had to myself to make me care about the state of my life through this whole sordid ordeal was music, and of course I would contract pharyngitis, and of course the GP wouldn't do a mouth swab to identify if it was viral or bacterial and simply give me antibiotics. Normally a week affair that business there, but I couldn't talk for more than a few minutes at a time without bleeding - three whole months this lasted. Now I think my voice is probably in the worst state it has ever been, I'm not one to know the terminology of music because I went to a performing arts specialising college that was doing so poorly in English and Maths that they had to cut the funding to all the performing arts to levels below the investment of every other school in the area, but I digress, pretty sure my voice is a whole octave (?) lower maybe than it was before the whole debacle. Not entirely comfortable sounding more like Paul Robeson than Frankie Valli, not just yet.

 

I'm just annoyed really.

I like Chris Brown. He has some really catchy songs Ike "She Ain't You" and "Fine China", not to mention that he's a great dancer. The guy's got serious talent, no doubt. People seem to hate on him a lot though, mainly for the whole Rihanna incident in 2009. I think he's really matured and improved since then. People just need to stop dwelling on the past so much and instead start focusing on the present.

He got shot and took me down the roof with him and we both died on the concrete. A grandeur apparition it is because I must've been one awesome ass soccer player. X-Files scared the crap out me as a kid. I can still remember hearing the intro music as dad was watching it in the evenings many years ago. I rmember sitting with him once and... since then I am of the opinion that X-Files is definitely not something that young children should watch.

You make me want to learn more about this show how scary is it?

X-Files imo is a must watch show. It's more creepy than scary. I highly recommend it considering they're continuing it with 6 more episodes in January after having been off air for like... 12 years I think?

I tried watching Hannibal and couldn't get into it. It felt like there was no real plot.

 

I like Gillian a lot better in The Fall though. Learning that she's bi-accented blew my mind lol.

Hannibal has many subplots. It's not an easy to digest show, but it is one of the best shows around right now. Mads Mikkelsen managed to beat Hopkins' Hannibal. And that's no mean feat.

How do you know it's bullsh*t if you haven't seen the show? Mikkelsen's portrayal is much more accurate and complete than Hopkins'. The only side of Hannibal you seen in the movies is of him without his "person suit". Hannibal Rising notwithstanding.
