iNero
Call of Duty: Ghosts is the most preordered title leading up to the October / November release season, according to research by an analyst firm. The data comes via analysts Cowen & Co, which compiles data based on NPD sale statistics and Amazon.com bestseller information. Titles are given a score based on patterns observed from these sources over the past five years, with the firm claiming its projections are between 96 and 97 per cent accurate. Call of Duty: Ghosts is the top ranked title at 73 points, followed by Watch Dogs and Grand Theft Auto 5 at 69.6 and 58.4 respectively. Cowen analyst Doug Creutz notes that Ghosts is currently under-performing when compared to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Meanwhile, Creutz admits that the ranking for GTA V is "almost certainly" incorrect, as the company's data only accounts for sales made since E3 2013. The title has been available for preorder since November 2012. Multi-platform games rank the highest, with the first next-gen exclusive title ranking fifth in the form of Killzone Shadow Fall for PlayStation 4. Forza 5 is the highest ranking Xbox One exclusive, ranking seventh. The list: 1. Call of Duty: Ghosts (73) 2. Watch Dogs (69.6) 3. Grand Theft Auto V (58.4) 4. Battlefield 4 (54.7) 5. Killzone: Shadow Fall (30.3) 6. Assassin's Creed IV (29.2) 7. Forza 5 (18.8) 8. Diablo III (18.2) 9. Batman: Arkham Origins (17.2) 10. Dead Rising 3 (15.0) 11. Ryse (13.2) 12. Saints Row IV (10.1) 13. Knack (7.7) 14. Gran Turismo 6 (5.0) 15. Beyond: Two Souls (3.3) 16. Wolfenstein: The New Order (3.2) 17. Drive Club (3.0) 18. Splinter Cell: Blacklist (2.9) 19. The Bureau: Xcom Declassified (0.4) 20. South Park: The Stick of Truth (0.2) http://www.computerandvideogames.com/42144...-sales-analyst/ Note the red marked sentence. Though Watch Dogs and Ghosts were available for Pre order before E3. Still think GTA5 has the lead. But Im suprised that Ghosts and Watch Dogs are that close to GTA. Probably because Watch Dogs gets released on 7 Plattforms and Ghosts on 6 while GTA5 only on

Any"analyst" paid by a company to spread lies can make whatever bullsh*t lists he wants . If you look on the vgcharts Watch Dogs isn't even close to GTA V's numbers. I believe that more than this one. Also how can Watch Dogs have 11 % more pre order numbers than GTA V ? Did he pull this numbers from his ass or something ? Neo Arcadia
V being behind wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. It's been more than five years since IV came out, so the average mindless teenager probably barely even knows the series.

I somehow doubt that WD, on all platforms, can have more pre-orders than this. Edited July 30, 2013 by GTAaLEX117

L0UDM0UTH
Bro GTA is sh*tting on both of those games, check the VG charts. Besides what are "points" compared to actual numbers? http://www.vgchartz.com/preorders/ Keep in mind that GTA is banned in some countries, affecting pre orders and even sales. gwaha
NikoBellic, why do you care so much about GTA 5 having to have more pre-orders than Watch Dogs? Did Ubisoft steal your lunch money or something? Seriously, I don't see a reason to care in such a way which game is being pre-ordered more. The quality of the game is what matters, not the amount of pre-orders.
