RandomIII 0 Posted August 14, 2013 No offense, but your last helicopter looks awful, it's too HD since gta3 has no antialiasing, it would be better to convert some helicopter from SA like Raindance or Cargobob. If this is too HD for GTA3, then Rockstar messed up as it's from VCS. In VCS it's ok, because it's in super shiny and colorful 80's, but in grey concrete jungle in 2001 there is just too many small details, that looks like a random bugged polygons from distace and none of gta3 vehicle has so small details so it doesn't looks like something that R* made, if they would add helicopters to gta3. Since I kinda suck with handling and other config. data, I was never able to take off, plane was stuck to the ground but I might look into it again & see if I can take advantage from this mod. Also the paint color argument is also invalid because vehicles in real life are not darker colors in New York, and colorful in Miami. They are the colors the manufactures make them. So its too bright for LC isn't a reason. Also, whats left? I really wanna play this thing. Edit: Not sure how much ASI modding was done on the full wing Dodo, but I think I may know how to get one working on GTA III 10th Anniversary Edition (but not as well as your Dodo of course). Some of this may not be possible with out ASI, if vehicles work differently on this game than on IV. I think in III era GTA's (not sure about SA), there is some stuff you can't change in the ide that you can on GTA IV. -Plane uses the ID 154 -Rotors will have to work like the stripped wing Dodo. Their always running (If possible, if not it would just have to be static. Or the plane could be a lear jet like the Shamal so it doesn't need all the animations, but then you got sound). -Plane would sound like the Dodo. But on mobile, it wouldn't be able to spawn. So there are a few solutions. Solution 1: Seeing if it can spawn well keeping old saves working. -Replace one of the two Dodo spawns (would be better if it was the one by the helipad) to the full wing Dodo -See if its possible to keep it so the main.scm size doesn't change. I'm not sure, but this may allow old saves to work. Solution 2: Old saves won't work. -Spawns added to the airport. -Though Bridges and Tunnels are blocked, there are boats available so you can get to all the islands from the start. Bridges and tunnels unlock like normal to keep it correct. I might look into this at some point. Edit: I hope this can be fixed. Editing the insane stunt jumps would require scm editing, so you might be able to make it so your aircraft can't trigger insane stunt jumps, and maybe so the clipped wing Dodo can't ether. I've always wanted to have working aircraft in III. GTA III's LC actually looks nice from the air in my opinion (minus the missing rooftops). I hope someone will make a mod like this for Watch Dogs. Moving them would be even harder. Remember when Silent's widescreen fix for SA was going to come out in June/July? I'm not focusing on it much as ThirteenAG's mod is good enough - mine will only expand it to be just like VCSPC's fix - it'll look similarly though. So, you could make a new object, where the model would be under the map if it were to use the dummy heli cords. You could use the destroyed buildings method, or even use the same method you used to swap out the chase heli and Catalina's heli. If I were creating the spawns, the dummy heli's would really only be in the way of the Maverick. Here is how I'd do the spawns. Its kinda like how GTA LC did them. -Maverick *Airport helipad *Casino helipad -LCPD Maverick *On top of the Staunton Island Police HQ (with a teliport to take you to the top) -LC News Maverick *On top the news building in Portland -Hunter (with functional weapons) *At Phill's Compound *Maybe by typing in "OHDUDE" and it will spawn in front of you. (Cheat from San Andreas) -Armadillo *Maybe a few by where the dummy helicopters are. -Dodo (full-winged) *Right next to the clipped Dodo by the helipad *In one of the airport hangers -Skimmer *At the Docks in Staunton Island -Biplane *In one of the airport hangers Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Helis in gta3 are something that I would have never ever expected. I just jumped through the topics sites quickly...
