Is there a way to just add the maverick helicopter?

 

I tried by manually adding the necessary files and as well tried the automatic installation and then deleting the unneeded files afterwards. None of both approaches worked out, GTAIII stopps loading a new or a save game by about 80% of the progress bar.

 

That is how my default.ide looks, since I already used slot 151, 152, 154, 156 and 157 for addon cars. So I tried adding the maverick in the unused slots (154, 155, 158), but without success.

 

150, ghost, ghost, boat, PREDATOR, GHOST, ignore, 1, 7, 0
151, sabretur, sabretur, car, YARDIE, SABRE, poorfamily, 6, 7, 2ff0, 089, 0.83

What needs to be done in order to load the addon cars next the maverick?

Automatic installation is definitely not the way to go then. I'd stick with manual installation, get Maverick only and keep 'overloaded' chopper/escape models.

Thanks for your fast reply.

 

GTAIII is loading now, thanks to you pointing out chopper and escape models need to stay in the txd/img files.

 

I now added the Maverick and the Huey (GTX, .col, .txd. .dff, .default, .carcols, .handling), but when approaching spawn places of all helis and planes (airport, police station, phils compound...) GTA freezes.

 

Furthermore the car in ID 157 now only has 3 wheels and sounds like a telephone when accelerating. Actually this is quite funny! ;-) https://www.dropbox.com/s/sciigl4hdi4lihm/enb2014_2_8_16_55_1.bmp

 

Any ideas, what to do?

Heh, I hardcoded some plane attributes to fixed IDs. I guess I should introduce more handling flags instead.

Okay, I managed to add the Maverick to the game, but whenever I try to drive it out of the garage, it incredibly strongly hits a building and the game crashes. WTF

Nevermind, I fixed that, using 159 slot. If possible, can you make that only slot 159 can be used as a chopper? Nah, what am I saying, I don't want to make you do more work :p

I'm still struggeling to add a single helicopter to my already modded game. I tried to only add the maverick at slot 159.

 

My game always freezes when I'm approaching the airport or another spawn location.

 

Any ideas?

Me too. I think it is hardcoded in gta3.exe (LibNative.so on android).

Is there any way to put your aircraft.asi into LibNative.so(I want flyable hunter dodo...etc in android version) ??

So I installed this, and some weird stuff is going on. I went to the airport, and from my search around, Mavericks and Armadillos spawn, but no full-winged Dodos. And the two helicopters stated move very slowly, and don't seem to gain any speed at all.

Might be a long wait as it's not in development currently :p

 

Anyway, it's only gonna be a '1.1 & steam compatibility' release, I don't plan to add new features.

 

EDIT:

And a fixed GInput API from the 1.03 version.

I tried using the manual install and when I went into the game all the text on the menu was changed to "FEN° something or other MISSING".

I thought at first I could not load a save file but I managed, All the ingame text is replaced with "Random file missing". I went to the airport and the only aircraft I could find that let me drive was the Do Do. I could not get it off the ground. I tried to look for the helicopters I saw in that one video but they are not there. What did I do wrong?

Just a heads up, I fixed a crash in III CLEO, it stopped crashing for me during loading now :)

 

If you use aircraft.cs, you might want to update:

 

http://cleo.li/download

 

You have to grab a .rar 1.0.1.7 version though, the installer isn't updated yet.

Interesting, I did not think you could get choppers in the game without a massive amount of code allowing for the flight physics never mind trying to just add heli in the handling file. I am still interested in how much could be done with the VC engine where at some point I had someone add the jet pack from SA but with the GTAIII engine i've somewhat been discouraged.

 

No Bikes?

Chopper mods on GTAG either have no download created by someone who has been banned or just do not work.

No decent Limit Adjuster.

 

@Silent. Could this be done without cleo?

It IS done without CLEO, it just handles vehicle spawnpoints ;)

Since the steam version mod doesn't have cleo III, does this mean all the vehicles will spawn at the airport, and will it have all the vehicles, and if not will you be able to fix it? :nervous:

My question is, is it compatible with OnePiece's HD cars?

Okay, I successfully managed to merge OnePiece's HD cars and III Aircraft. However, for a price.

You choose either additional HD cars (Hermes, Cuban Hermes, Deluxo, Sabre Turbo, Z-Type) or aircraft.

It's easy, you just need to delete those additional cars from default.ide and carcols.dat files before installing III Aircraft.

EDIT: And yeah, my game crashed after attempting to land on a train. O_o

EDIT 2: Where on earth can I find the news chopper?
