For some reason, Rockstar never let us fly with proper aircraft in III-era Liberty City - both GTA III and GTA LCS didn't feature usable helicopters nor planes (although they could be spawned in LCS). However, due to the fact Vice City was developed at around the same time as III, some code got mixed up. Luckily for gamers, one of the mixups was proper helicopters and planes handling!This modification brings several helicopters and planes from the other GTAs to old good GTA III. They handle almost like their VC/SA counterparts, although they may feature some minor differences. Silent 14,671 Posted July 30, 2013 That took ages, but I've rewritten helicopter audio handling from scratch and it turned out to be pretty nice! I was wondering if you could add a full wing Dodo at the airport. Edit: Also I'd like to see this on GTA III 10th Anniversary Edition. Yes, these are 2 heli IDs, but the code was buggy and you never could take off. I fixed it. I plan to add more than 2 helicopters though, so I won't stick to these IDs. Since the code implies a deliberate cut by Rockstar, something must have happened they COULDN'T fix - RenderWare bug would be one of the reasons (since they didn't have RW source code, a bug in Criterion's binaries couldn't be corrected by them).
